Dianoga Question

By higgie301, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

What happens if the Bantha Rider ends movement on top of the Dianoga?

It's not a figure so neither Trample nor Stampede from the Bantha Rider do anything to the Dianoga.

This is a great way to prevent your opponent from shooting the Dianoga. Sure, they shoot you, but you can absorb some blows.

Dianoga is an object. Any figure can share a space with an object.

Thanks!

Have considered something like this in the past. Park your Repulsor Tank, Bantha, or the upcoming Rancor either on top of the Dianoga or between it and the enemy corridor in order to deny the enemy the points. Haven't tried it, but I feel like it could go either way for you. Would need to be careful.

The Dianoga would deal a lot of damage to the Bantha?

Nevermind. Rules and stuff.

Not to take this too far off topic but can you overkill the dianoga for extra points?

Wouldn't be hugely bothersome if you could set it up in a way that the enemy also couldn't shoot the Bantha. Put two figures in first. Move the Bantha over them and the Dianoga, and push them forward. Then, the enemy has to go into the difficult terrain to target the Bantha.

Again, not sure its a super viable strategy, but it's worth exploring.

Not sure if I'm interpreting your intent correctly here, but the enemy models can see over your two smaller models to the bantha due to the bantha having the "massive" keyword

No. Nothing takes more damage than its health.

Oh I totally knew that. Even less of a viable strategy, because I wasn't thinking about the rules.
