2-Player success?

By vandalDX, in Star Wars: Rebellion

How does this game do as a 2-player game? My wife and I play 2-player games and this one looks super interesting, but given the complex rules and options, I hesitate to take the plunge with this one.

If anybody has played this game 2-player and had has success (or failure), it would be great to hear your thoughts!

This game is primarially a two player despite what the box says. Even with three or four it plays out like a two player.

I enjoy it,but it is on the heavier side so doesn't come out as much for me.

This game is best at 2 AND 4 players in my opinion. 3 players not so much. It flows really well with 2 player so yes I'd say take the plunge. Also don't be afraid by the rules, once you get the hang of it you'll realize that it's not that heavily complicated but it has a lot of depth. Yesterday I succeeded in teaching the game in 20-30 minutes to 3 new players and we all had a blast. :)

It's Empire vs. Rebels no matter how you slice it. Two players means you are on your own. Your plan will go undisrupted (by your side). Four players means you have to co-operate with someone else on your side. Things may not always go your way, but usually two heads are better than one.

Once you've learned the rules, how long does a game usually take to play?

I'd say 3 to 4 hours.

I'd have to second this

Thanks everybody! It sounds like a great game for a long winter afternoon--I'll plan on picking this one up at some point!

This is pretty good game to throw in with a day of Xwing or armada. You could almost consider this the Twilight Imperium of Star Wars.
