You just made this a thing... Thank you.

This looks like it'll be a ton of fun to follow. I'm bummed that the Back to Dials crew missed out, but I guess I can cheer for someone else. And boy, will it be interesting to see what lists these guys come up with . . . .
I think a more interesting poll would be which pilots wont get selected at all!
I'm going to say Fel's Wrath and 3 other Interceptors, the 3 non- Corran E-wings, Winged Gundark, Rhymer, all scyks not named Serissu, Porkins and red sq. pilot, and... Bounty Hunter and Krassis Trelix.
That's what I was trying to ask. I'm going to guess that it'll mostly be mid-PS pilots with bad abilities, no EPTs and subpar ship stats, so like Laetin A'shera or Graz the Hunter. I'm completely with you on the named interceptors without EPTs. Scyks will actually be okay filler ships imo, paying two points extra for a tie fighter is hardly the worst you could do.
Yeah, we're talking about the sixteen WORST SHIPS IN THE GAME. I wouldn't say Etahn is one of those; and neither is the Red Squadron, for that matter. But most of the squints are probably out, as are Porkins and Grax. The Scyks and TIEs might still get picked by virtue of their low cost -- sure, Winged Gundark isn't great, but then, 15 points isn't too huge of a cost. I'm tempted to say ORS wouldn't make it, but hell, it made the cut at Nationals last year, so you never know.
Of the teams I'm most excited to see lose.. Mynock is tops on that list. In solidarity for Blair!
I love the mynocks! But i want some drama and beef out of this!
I bet Dee has a hacker in his crew that is gonna hack Blair's vassal.
Anything good said about Mynock is simply propaganda that they've circulated and is unfounded and untrue.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ran a practice draft yesterday for fun, and let me say, it gets really interesting what ships are left on the board in the last few rounds. There were a couple I couldn't believe weren't taken yet, and a ton that I couldn't believe had been taken. It was very interesting even simply as a thought exercise. Makes me want to put some time in to developing a really solid format and hosting a vassal tourney like this myself.

Out of curiosity, how much do you think squad composition was a component in what you were seeing. Its like the fantasy ftball draft where you see amazing QBs on the board late but someone already had 3 and just couldn't fit a 4th. Not sure if the analogy holds up, but it seems point cost/faction restrictions would come into play at some point.

Seconded. The funny thing we kept doing was "How the hell did (X) fall so far?"
The format is entertaining.
Will it be a live draft where we can watch who's getting picked?

I think it really depends on the teams strategy. That's what I'm most interested in seeing in the draft tonight. When I did the draft, I had a specific strategy (that I don't want to give out and then feel guilty if someone uses it and it ends up being really bad haha), and I felt like it worked out extremely well for me, but that was without really looking at the other teams lists. I think there are a few things that teams can take advantage of, but that's for the teams to figure out.
I'd say it's a bit different from fantasy football because there isn't really any "positions" that are being forced to be filled, although I think that would be an incredibly intriguing, and perhaps more balanced format. If I'm being general, I think what will happen is the teams will scoop up the meta staples right away, and then just draft around them and then take the best of the scraps afterwords. Think of it more as a hypothetical fantasy sport draft, where you draft players from either baseball, basketball, or football (each representing a faction), and you just have to make the 6 best teams out of your drafted players in their specific sport.

We're going to make an attempt. I'm currently attempting to find some podcast buddies/ensure my setup is ok to Stream.

Even if there wasn't, (i dont know if there is or not) i can see S&V claiming its why someone had bad rolls on Vassal..
Is that twitch link accurate?
Is that twitch link accurate?
Doesn't look like it. Think we might be out of luck. Darn.
I reckon TeamChampions could be a surprise here!
So They're not streaming it then?
I think Scum and Villainy will take it. You have to think like a wretched hive to win an event like this. Also hope to see Team Champions do well. Shout out to JChavDanath!
Edited by Deepspace5So They're not streaming it then?
I dont think so... But I am in the room at the moment. I will try to post updates here on the draft and edit in updates. Does that work for anyone interested?
What is draft order? I was really looking forward to the stream.
i guess it is now!

Im not aware what the draft order is. If it's a snake draft, who goes first then who goes next?
Draft order, if I'm looking at this correctly is-
1. S&V
2. Aces
3. Rook/Nova
4. Champions
5. Mynock
6. Commonwealth

and does that rotate? or is it that Commonwealth gets every 6th pick?
So They're not streaming it then?
They are. It just started a few minutes ago.

S&V take IG-88B with first pick.
