[RPG] Play by Post websites?

By cparadis10, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Is there a preferred forum or website for L5R Play By Post games? I've looked at some of the usual suspects, RPG Geek/Tavern Keeper, but haven't really seen much. I'm itching to play in/run a game and want to try to cast my net wherever the players are.

I would be willing to Open up a section of the Crane forums if someone wanted to do something there.

And I'd love to play! I work nights and weekends so my face to face time has been nil recently. If you hey something going I'd love an invite

I couldn't find any PbP presence on any of the sites I'm familiar with, so I just went ahead and started my own.

Hopefully it turns out well. Gotta do something to scratch that L5R itch ...

Is there anything not Colonies and not Spider empire going on? Say ... Clan Wars?

Heroes of Rokugan might be more your speed. They have their own timeline that diverges from the official story starting from the end of Hidden Emperor.

Is anyone doing HoR as play-by-post? I was under the impression it was formatted for conventions and tabletop sessions, before sending the results back to do ... whatever it is they do. Build nests. Feed younglings. Something like that.

Still, I kinda meant a Hantei on the throne and rising conflict between the clans that hasn't been going on long enough to decimate the population ten times over. Hard to find that pbp game.

I've found very little in the way of Play by Post games in my research. That's why ended up starting my own. You may have to do the same.

From what I've seen, there's little to nothing that goes on constantly. There are a few pbp games each year, run by a handful of different GMs. The one going on currently can be found here: http://www.thewall1121.fallenash.com/index.php

A lot of the games are run on Fallenash, but some pop up on other sites as well.

With this game having gone on awhile, IDK if you'll want to get in on it. In the very least, it may allow you to find some contacts in the pbp community that can help you locate future games.
