Corbin's ability, on paper seems great. But the issue is this: Nearly every token with a surge also comes with an ability.

This makes it very difficult to get the most out of his ability, because you have to buy cards that end up being overcosted since you use the surges on him, or ignore his ability altogether in favor of the better abilities on cards.

I really want more surge-producing cards like the Willow Wand. Will that be a thing in the future?

I don't agree that the surge abilities on the cards are better. Yes the items do end up being a bit more expensive but the tokens seem to be where the cost comes from. Think of Twin Daggers - it provides some surge abilities but the actual token is much stronger than any token on a less expensive item.
