Setting up the Quickdraw

I was just thinking about a Deci list involving Ruthlessness when it came to me in a blind flash of purple light...what about using Ruthlessness to set off the new special forces Tie pilot Quickdraws ability to fire twice?

It may take a little setting up but get QuickDraw into range one, surrounded by enemy ships. He gets to shot, hopefully twice (front and rear arcs) and then target one of those ships with another of your pilots equips with ruthlessness. It triggers, dealing a damage to all ships at range one of the target. This triggers Quickdraws ability, letting him fire twice (if there is a target in front and behind) causing mass devastation!

Well that's the dream anyway

Ruthlessness only works on one ship, but you get to choose. Might work but might backfire pretty bad. Could be good if you set up to ruthlessness multipule times for even more shots, but is very situational.

Sure you set off quickdraw

during combat

without modifiers

Not to mention you're not ruthlessing the enemy instead (dont think its a seismic charge effect)

Sure is a lot less appealing than rage + baffle

I like the idea of using ruthlessness to proc his ability, but remember that ruthlessness only hits one target (not everyone) at range 1.

I rather like the idea of actually giving him ruthlessness for the double, double tap....

I think you would be better off with ruthlessness on a tie/D defender for a double tap that way.

Now if only there was a way to regenerate shields on QuickDraw...

Yeah QD will be great for a kamikaze attack though, Here was my idea of setting up quick draw.

Quickdraw

PTL

Baffle

cluster missiles

special ops. training

chips

Youngster

expose

quickdraw uses expose, ptl for a target lock, baffle, fires (assuming range 1 this is 2(normal) + 1(expose)+ 1(range 1) +1(for ops unless you want the 2nd shot which would be 4 from the back on another range 1 target)), combat then fires cluster for another 6(3+3 total and because of expose and chips gets a crit out of it at least, or if you want the back attack is +8[4 from front 4 from back)

Could also switch out PTL for opportunist and drop the missiles for 2(base)+1(range 1)+1(expose)+1(opportunist)=5 (or 6 for title if you don't want a rear shot) dice per shot opportunist gives a stress so there goes EB for another 5 ( or 6 if you don't want a rear shot) and then ther two rear shots for another +10 for a total of 20 red dice by a single ship in a single turn. Granted opportunist is a poor choice of an EPT and would drain you of all your shields and a health for opportunist on all shots.

for a total of 11-20 red dice from a single ship in a single round.

I think I'd rather have expose on QD and Rage on Youngster. Instead of getting one TL for the round, you can reroll up to three die each shot, plus you get a focus token.

How do you use both on QD since they are both actions? I guess with the new shuttle you can with coordinate.
