CNinja v PartyPotato scheduled for tomorrow night! 9pm Central (2AM GMT)

Also known as ... How quickly can a solo MC80 be blown to smithereans?

Sounds like a Party going off in that Potato!

Broba and I will be starting on his lunch break Monday (noon pacific time) playing for an hour, and continuing every day at the same time until complete.

I've sent off a couple of messages to Vipcard3 but no reply yet. Anyone have contact with him?

JJ vs Miferr is set for Wednesday the 31st at 8 PM US Central Time

I just PM'd him. If he doesn't respond before 30 Aug 11:59pm UTC-5, I'll consider him a drop and you'll get an 8-3, mov 70 bye.

Lyraeus and I are set to play Sunday Aug. 28th at 5:00PST (7:00pm CDT)

CNinja v PartyPotato ends in a draw! 0-0 6-5 win to PartyPotato!

Great game to the DancingSpud. He flew that Mon Karren disco ball like it was wearing a white suit. I have to say that these 3x3 games are fast and very fun. Heck we didn't even kill anything and it was awesome!

I'll post the logfile ASAP.

Game was mine fields with CNinja taking first turn. 3X3 with 6 obstacles on the board does not a lot of space make. But I must say I am a fan of the engine teching Madine MC80. Couldn't tell you how well it shoots from its front arc since CNinja never gave me the opportunity. Never seen an ISD so nimble before.

Lots of fun. I think the whole game took maybe an hour and a half tops.

Whats the set up area on a 3x3?

In the contest of three ships of doom versus the single entity that is Yavaris, sorry I mean Motti Interdictor, there could only be one winner. Quite literally, either me or Dab would win this.

I took first player with my superior bid and chose hyperspace assault from the choices. (we played with 2 hyperspace tokens cause that seemed fair)

On the first turn I thoroughly enjoyed my 2pts spend on shifting an objective in front of each ship, not that it made any difference to the game, but is was fun watching Dab squirm. Potentially the denial of nav tokens first turn did prevent double arcing later, but thats hard to say.

It was a slow game to get going, the YT2400s and Bomber had a little fight to one side, with Vader and a Tie Bomber giving up there lives to kill a single Yt2400. However, this turned out to be a minor battle.

On turn 4, out of hyperspace popped a corvette. Unfortunately for Dab, I had the double arc on this corvette, and proceeded to roll two salvos both containing one redirect blocking accuracy. Pop went the corvette back into the nether worlds to the side of the table.

The following turns the rebels tried to take the interdictor down, but 11 hull, a lot of shields, 2 contain tokens, targetting scrambler and 5 engineering is just too tough for that small band. (Though targetting scrambler is entirely pointless against SW7's)

Final score. 60-30 to Ginkapo.

Vipcard had to drop due to family reasons, so Maturin will receive an 8-3 70 mov bye.

Did this game get played?

As we hit the one week left mark in round one, Lord Preyer and MattShadowlord still need to schedule their game.

On the other hand, early rankings put Maturin out to a 40 point lead over the closest competitor, Ginkapo.

Thats ridiculous. By all the theoretical rules we cherish, I should be bottom not second.

hmmm this could be an interesting experiment.

BrobaFett and I completed our episodic game.

It was a fairly dramatic game overall since all our ships had titles, and we got to start 2 of our sessions with a "previously on..."

Objective was fleet ambush, selected by myself. 3 ships w/ Demo vs 2 ships gave me a huge deployment advantage. Demolisher took a few shots at Dodonna's Pride while aiming towards Paragon. Paragon, in an effort to live, threw bombers at Demo and sped up after getting hit hard. Dodonna's Pride shot at Demo and Impetuous, causing critical damage on Demo, preventing it from firing at ships more than once a turn.

Paragon didn't make it, shattering at the top of turn 3. Impetous and Suppressor maneuvered to try to block Dodonna's Pride in from escaping. It was an ultimately fruitless attempt as Dodonna's pride found a save spot by slowing down, and then later speeding up to get out of the trap, but not before being reduced to 2 shields and 1 hull. Demolisher repaired the critical damage, sent some flak at the bombers, and then put the pedal to the metal to try to catch The Pride.

As Demo was accelerating away Impetous started to take shots at the bombers, but ultimately it wasn't enough because the bombers turned around and obliterated it right away. Suppressor had to do some clever maneuvering with Ozzel to make sure it didn't suffer the same fate, first slowing down to fake out the bombers and then speeding away to safety, but not before burning the scatter token.

Demolisher screamed up the middle of the table at an equivalent speed 4 and was able to catch Dodonna's pride landing 3 damage for the kill.

Dash finished the game by hitting the basically defenseless gozanti with a hit/crit, which turned up a structural damage. So close, but the flotilla escaped by the skin of its teeth.

Tonight at 8:00 pm Central we have JJs Juggernaut vs. Miferr!

Also, I've reached out to MattShadowlord and Lord Preyer, with no response. If someone could contact them, that'd be great.

JJs Juggernaut (Player 1) vs Miferr

Objective: Advanced Gunnery

236.5 - 75 (MoV 161.5)

10-1 Win for JJs Juggernaut

A really fun and quick game (I want to try some more 200 point games). I picked Advanced Gunnery since I figured I could stay out of black range of the VSD's front and felt I could take some extra reds, while at the same time using Admonition to hit the same ship in two arcs with its side, or both Demolisher and the VSD. My plan worked out very well, as with Admonition one shotting Demolisher. An APT, Dodonna projector misaligned ate shields and the H-9s blocked the brace. The Support Officer gave me the con-fire and demo went down in one shot. Han Solo had taken some pot shots, but not actually on sides that took damage from Admonition or that were redirectable to. However, before Demolisher died it shot the CR90 flagship, and Lando failed to stop one of the two hit/crits that allowed ACMs to fire. With the CR90 sitting at medium range of the VSD's front, I knew I was in trouble. The VSD failed to kill the CR90, but took it down to 1 HP. This allowed me to double arc TRC the VSD to no shields, however with IG88 free to move in for the kill (Han had gone first that round, a mistake I failed to foresee), even my best maneuvering wasn't able to keep IG88 away and he finished off the CR90. Admonition then took revenge and with a great roll and H-9 brace blocking acc guaranteed it exactly finished off the VSD. Good game to Miferr, it was a lot of fun!

The keys to the game:

1) JJ's skills > Miferr's skills

2) Wave 2 Rebels > Wave 1 Empire

I knew both of these points going into the game, and I totally expected that I would get tabled, so I'm actually very pleased that I was able to take out Dodonna. I exceeded my own (admittedly very low) expectations!

It was a great time! Very quick and fun. Great game, JJ!

Sorry for delay guys. Am hoping that Matt and I can play on Sunday. Just waiting for word from him.

Round One scores will be posted on Tuesday.
