Just spotted these on Kickstarter. They look like they could provide some quick modular encounters for just about any game.
I especially like the "zones". I may use those as range bands.

Really interesting idea. I am really bad at creating on the spot unique locations and I think this can add a lot of fun and creativity to any game. I picked up the digital copies myself.
Thanks for point these out!
Oooh, papa like! Backed!
I'm in on this. Small change for quick ideas on the fly. Fills one gap so between this and the adversary cards I should be able to handle most things that those awful PCs choose to throw at me!
I passed the link to my GM.
They added some stretch goals, with the big one being star maps!
Did you guys get the survey on stretch goals? Which ones did you vote for?
The Fantasy city/village/traps I weighted pretty low on the scale (although the traps could be useful in the case of old sith temples and the like) and I weighted the Stations and Starports and the Spaceships pretty highly. The stars and planets, slightly less. I think I put the modern city cards more or less in the middle.
They just announced their first stretch goal. See https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stanshinn/adventure-location-cards-for-fantasy-modern-and-sc/posts/1664810
Last day on these! A few more backers and we get Space Stations and Starports too!
Only 23 hours to go!!!
Man, I always feel like I'm going to get swindled by kickstarters. Uuugghh. Backed.
They certainly seem in the area of "ridiculously expensive" for the print cards.... I wish they were more in the range of 5-10$/deck than $18(!!!)/deck...
I'm probably going to end up just having to do the $15 digital. I'd love to have the physical cards, but finding out about them during back to school time, with all the expenses that entails, just puts 'em out of my range at the moment.
Unless anyone wants to contribute to a GoFundMe to back a Kickstarter quickly in the next few hours...lol.

That's not much more than what some of the decks for FFG's Star Wars game cost on Amazon, and those decks as handy as they are will only apply to the Star Wars RPG. These decks are more universal. I also think the decks in this Kickstarter project are larger though I may be wrong.
It all depends on how much you think these will help you with games you run. My GM is reluctant to jump onto a Kickstarter project but he saw right away how useful these would be for him, others may not be as interested. YMMV. But the pledge costs aren't all that out of line really.
Digitally these are perfect for me, I'll just chop them into individual images and drop them right into my holocron. I too share the mentality that $15 is a bit much for a deck of cards, but heck I don't even pay $6 for the nice ones for FFG!
Just had a brief exchange with the gentleman running the project, and they plan to offer a means to "upgrade" your pledge before the physical cards ship. So, I'm in for the digitals for now, and likely the physical cards down the line.
