I keep swinging back and forth on builds like this. Is Mon Karren overkill if you're taking Intel Officer and XI7? Their tokens are already quite limited with just part of that setup. On the other hand, it gets the attack even closer to total shutdown of tokens.

I'm going to need to see it on the table before I decide, but right now I feel like there's other places those points could go. Maybe replace Intel/XI7 with SW7, after all how many accuracies are you likely to need with MK?

Then you've still got some points to spare. Garm means you're fine for token, Leia means you're fine for dials, so no need for Ray or any of the 6pt officers in there. Chances are that MK will be a top priority target so you could bring along Lando (I'm getting to be a bigger fan of him every day). Or put some points to Gunnery Teams or Flight Controllers on your AF2.

Not a huge fan of Opening Salvo in this list. You're only taking advantage of it with 3 ships, opponents could easily be running 5-ship lists that have access to a lot more dice than you now. If you're not putting Gunnery Team on the AF2 then Advanced Gunnery could work.

I chose Intel Officer to deal with ECM+Brace wich most large ships have. I do however like the idea of taking SW7 over XI7 as well as Advanced Gunnery as an objective. The reason I didn't take Flight Controllers is I simply don't own that card.

Pretty fair, I knew I'd seen someone break this down at some stage!

So yeah, if you've got the points then feel free to stick with that combo.

I've honestly been running them with just a gunnery team and leading shots (but two of the Liberty at a time) and Madine. They are still monsters. Next match will be a pair of them all jacked up. I'm going to enjoy engine techs and Madine on them.

It's a good analysis but honestly I don't think its very reasonable to assume you can easily do 8 damage with just 4 reds and 3 blues. That is a very above average roll. It's kinda nit-picky but I think it's important to make the distinction since that particular use-case will be very common. I think with XI7s, spinals, SW-7s, and of course MK and IO you will very reliably achieve that level of firepower, though it's quite a point sink.

Given that the MC80A (in the EU) is externally almost identical to the Liberty (except for the wings and ventral engine cowl) - I'd say the two could be merged.

So, when referring to an MC80, one can be talking about a Home One Type, and when referring to MC80A, one can be talking about a Liberty or a Wingless Liberty.

The MC80B is the Mon Remonda type - which is much more different looking:

If you lower the damage, it further skews the argument in favor of xi7s.
