I've played with something similar to this build. I feel like everyone is busy trying to find the loophole with the Interdictor and its Experimental Retrofits.

I don't much care for them, and have found targeting scramblers are easily the best use of the slot. However, it requires a little more precision course plotting than you might think. Engine techs go a long way with that. Also, play around with the Suppression Refit and Ion Cannon Batteries. With the Interdictor taking up that much of your build you don't want it just to be a lethargic support piece, and since you'll have to be in range 1-3 of your other ships to use the scamblers you might as well use engine techs to put blue dice on target.

Just my thoughts

Agreed with the above. Additionally, two thoughts

1. I think replacing one advanced with a Jump will net you more damage overall, as Mauler will be able to AOE every turn. Maybe wrong, just a suggestion.

2. Putting APT's on a craft you are already sinking a LOT of points into to make a dedicated squad hunter seems like a waste. As great as APT's are, Impetuous is gonna have a target on it, from everything, and those APTs are going to end up being bonus points that you didn't get much use out of when they blow him off the board.

Chirneau will ensure that mauler can trigger every turn. I agree with the APT's on the hunting raider, by at the same time it makes it a MUCH bigger threat against ships if I encounter a squadron less list

I ran into a very powerful bomber build using the Gozanti, Yavaris, Liberty and with the new flight coordinator cards... beware.
