Looking for Feedback on a Dash + Lothal Rebel list

By Mr Dash Rendar, in X-Wing Squad Lists

This list has been my favorite to run since I started playing. I wanted to see if anyone has any ideas about it that I'm not seeing. Dash Leap-frogs the obstacles while Lothal acts a support ship giving him evades and soaking up damage.

Dash (36)

-Predator (3)

-Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

-Recon Specialist (3)

-Outrider (5)

-Engine Upgrade (4)

Cost :58

Lothal Rebel (35)

-Dorsal Turret (3)

-Hera Syndulla (1)

-Jan Ors (2)

Cost: 41

Total: 99

The traditional "Super Dash" build is PTL, Kyle Katarn, HLC, EU, title.

PTL is better than Predator because the TL it grants you lets you re-roll up to 4 dice. You can also boost and focus. It also allows you to combine boost/BR into the super-maneuverable ship it was supposed to be.

If you're running PTL, then Kyle Katarn is better than RecSpec because it provides a focus even without taking a focus action. So now you can boost/TL or boost/BR or focus/TL and still get an additional focus.

Lucky for you, those two substitutions come at the same cost!

For the Lothal, I would definitely downgrade the Dorsal to an Autoblaster Turret and give him FCS.

If you're winning games, then keep using it. You've obviously discovered a synergy and movement pattern that most people aren't used to.

SuperDash I use is the standard Dash with Kanan, PtL, EU, HLC, Title. Destresses so much easier, and gives you the maneuverability options you need. As an aside, I have run it a lot with Vrill, and gotten OK with it. Two high aces can give at a problem, maybe crackswarm, though I am yet to encounter it.

If you're running the HLC, EU and PTL are kind of a requirement to keep aces out of the 'donut hole' he has at range 1.

There are workarounds like flying tricky and Anti-pursuit Lasers if you want, but until we see what Dash can make use of with Snuggling Compartments, he doesn't have a lot of wiggle room.

And yeah, Lothal works better with Autoblaster and FCS, imo.

I would argue there isn't a lot of wiggle room in Snuggling Compartments either :D

Yeah flying tricky and navigating the rocks has been the focus on this build. If I do it right each time the aces are held at bay pretty well. And then the mind game of it is that people always go for the vcx first.
