Imperial Assault Rules for Marvel

I love IA and own all the expansions (except BG and the upcoming Jabba set). However, I was recently introduced to a superhero miniatures game called HeroClix. Personally, I prefer the IA system and rules, so I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to write up Marvel characters for use with IA rules?

I have known a few people who are clix players. Clix is very apropos for the Super Hero genre. The Descent slash Imperial Assault system doesn't seem as suited to the Super Hero genre. Clix seems more macro. If I guy with a ray gun has two attack dice, then how many does a full blown super hero like Cyclops have? You'd either have to scale down the heroes or have two attack dice be in Super Hero scale. Biv might be strong, but he isn't Spiderman strong. He darn sure isn't Hulk strong. So, if Biv has 3 Strength dice, how many would those hero's have? If you scaled it, then you couldn't include average people.

In my opinion, the IA system is less suitable for the Marvel feeling.

It's not over the top so much.

I like the Knight Models Miniatures approach.

I think the IA system would be perfect for a super hero game. The way surge abilities work is ideal for triggering various super powers.

I've been intending to do such a conversion myself eventually, since I've developed a real dislike of wizkids and their business practices, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Clix is very apropos for the Super Hero genre.

Regardless of how well the IA system would or wouldn't work, this statement is definitely false. :P

Agreed!

MechWarrior Dark Age Clix Game

No super heroes, just a bunch of giant robot destruction goodness.
