Dual frighter coordination team

By mobow213, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So if you equipped a team on two different ship could you use them twice on the same squadrons. Say mc80 lib goes. It uses sqaudron command to move b wing their speed two. It then moves. At which point it can move the b wings again by 1.

Or a ship can move, then move sqaudrons by 1, anothe moves and moves sqadrons by 1. Then a third ship can use sqaudrons command and so forth. So with hawk. B wings can get the speed they need if done right.

If thry dont nerf it

Yes. You can use 2 Fighter Coordination Teams on the same Squadrons. In fact you can even move squadrons with Fighter Coordination Team even if they have activated.

It is an amazing upgrade.

Due to this upgrade, my Mothma's Angels list works rather well and I even have Salvation as an Escort.

Have your Cruiser push those babies forward...into the gentle arms of Yavaris...who pushes them forward some more, into range of a double-tap :)

Stacking them effectively makes the need to take fighter commands less of an absolute requirement of carrier lists, good insurance against losing your dial. Loss your command and you can at least move your fighters ready for a shot on the fighter phase, sort of min rogue ability.

But the double tap has to happen on the following turn, since you need to activate them with a command, right?

Not if Yavaris has a Squadron Command and Flight Commander...

This allows Yavaris to Shoot, Move, Activate its own Fighter Coordination Team, and then Activate its Squadron Command... And if you've done everything right, those Fighters are in the perfect position, and can fire twice as they will not move on that activation ....

(It is important to note that, if the only "moves" the Fighters do are due to Fighter Coordination teams, they have not activated at all....)

Howeve, rif they activate anywhere else on the Way...... Yes. They're going to have to wait...

Unless one of those Squadrons were activated by a ship with Adar Tallon.... :D

SO MANY EXCEPTIONS :"D

You will also need Flight Commander on Yavaris.

It then becomes:

1)Activate Yavaris

2)Shoot

3) Maneuver

4) FCT

6) Yavaris double-tap

But wait... Squadron commands are activated immediately after they are revealed so you

1. Activate Squadrons - double tap if within range

2. Shoot with Yavaris

3. Move Yavaris

4. Move Squadrons with FCT

Refer: "Flight Commander" Upgrade Card

Swm16-flight-commander.png

This puts the Timing Windows of "Squadron Command" and "Move due to Flight Coordination Team" both at "After you Execute a Maneuver".

What which point, you resolve their timing in the order of your choice..

Which could mean, one final Distance 1 move that brings them into range of Yavaris and Shoots twice at a Ship...

Or it could mean that Yavaris double-taps with them, they kill their Fighter-Opponents, and then Move to Engage other nearby squadrons...

Aaaaaaaaah!!!

Ok. Thanks. My bad :)

OH and remember if you use Flight Commander and then dont use Fighter Coordination Teams you still can get that free move.

As Drasnighta said something like this is HIGHLY possible:

Lets say Yavaris peppers some enemy squadrons with AA wounding the pair. Then you move and activation your two squadrons allowing you to double tap each enemy squadron. Well if both Enemy squadrons were vanquished then you can use Fighter Coordination Team to set up for next turn!
