I've been playing around with some wave 3/4 goodness, and I'm not sure how practical this build would be, but. . .

The idea is pretty simple. The fleet flies straight at the enemy, using Konstantine, G-8s and Q7s to prevent the enemy ships from breaking away. The ISD pounds on everything with some help from the Interdictors (a double-arc from them has the same number of dice as an ISD front arc). My opponent has the classic difficult choice - kill the support ships or try to kill the main threat? If you focus on the ISD, its escorts can bounce four shields to it a turn, and a Repair dial plus a token from the Gozanti can generate three more or ditch two damage. That's on top of the Scramblers (hopefully) reducing damage once the fleets close. If you target the support ships, each can get eight Engineering points with a token from the Gozanti, so that's four shields or two cards and a shield, plus two more shields from their buddy. Meanwhile I can focus a minimum of sixteen dice on a single target without double-arcs.

There are no fighters, which worries me (I do love my squadrons), but if you fly hard and fast enough, you can probably kill the carriers before enemy bombers can do too much damage.

I'm considering dropping the HTTs and IO on the ISD and swapping them out for better upgrades. Maybe Q7s on both 'Dictors, so I can guarantee to manipulate my enemy's speed.

I had a similar idea except one interdictor and four Gozantis with repair crews and using tarkin as my admiral.

My idea was use tarkin to hand out repair tokens each round for the gozantis to use for repair. Then spam engineering on the interdictor to give it 8 engineering a round.

You might have a tanky Interdictor, but if this is all that comprises your fleet you will have difficulty killing ships. The Dictor can hit fairly hard with the double arc, but it is best as a support ship rather than the main damage dealer

I like it. The only change I would make is switching SW7 for leading shots, but that's just a personal preference. I think leading shots helps much more often, as it lets you mitigate bad red rolls from both the front and side, AND let's you reroll aa flak

I did something similar to an original list as a fleet contest submission and I think that the idea does have merit.

I would use Combat version on one of the Interdictors for extra AS, won't put admiral on a Gozanti (ISD is a nice place for him to be for this list) and use XI7 instead of HTTs.

(and try to fit one more tractor beam into the list, but this is hard to achieve).

The only flaw I can see is this list is vulnerable to bomber wings. Find some way to put a few fighters in here.

It's hard to fit in Squadrons without removing the effectiveness of the fleet build. But if you focus on the carriers, you should be able to kill them pretty quickly, and that hamstrings bombers. It will definitely be weak against Fireballs, but those tend to not have a lot of squadrons due to the Firespray cost.

Your going to love the Devastator Interdictor combo... Good looking build, suspect objective choice though... I would go advanced gunnery, contested post, Intel sweep. This will force the opponent to either make your ISD obscenely powerful, or dictate to you where you need to point that brutal front arc

So, played this list last night against 3 Gladiators, 1 gozanti, and rhymer with bombers and aggressor escort. We played firing lanes. I will try to summarize the end result.

I lost, he got 3 of my Gozantis and my interdictor. I got the most tokens but barely. My ISD was fully healed. The only thing of his I killed was the Gozanti. My big mistake was jumping up to speed three and slowly leaving the interdictor behind.

Things I took away from the battle is that you only need two repair Gozantis. There is room to make one of those gozantis a bomber command and take a few squadrons. So, the thing that I was worried about did happen in that I was not able to push out enough damage fast enough before his speed three gladiators got away. In hindsight, I should have camped the tokens and stayed at speed one.

1.) you only need 2 repair gozantis

2.) Tractor beams for control would have been nice.

3.) Love the G-8 scrambler for slowing down the Glads.

4.) Target scrambler is awesome for the rerolls

5.) projection experts have a long range and having 8 engineering points (dial+token) is awesome.

6.) it is easy to keep an ISD full health. (my opponent was able to knock my shields down in the first round but I was able to recover them by round 4 and was back to full health) (note: he did switch to my interdictor since that was unable to fly away)

7.) Interdictors are incredibly slow. Forgot how slow VSDs were.

8.) need some squadron support
