So... New Adventure Book

By Suma99, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

FFG has just announced the Friends Like These adventure book.

Thoughts? I personally think it's a pretty interesting looking military campaign that could be quite fun to adapt to a bigger play group (my gaming society ran a big 20 player/4 GM game back in January and this could quite easily be adapted for it).

Zygerrian stats maybe!

That's awesome! Which module did you run for the big quad session? If it was one written by your group, would you happen to have a write-up available?

I could speak to the main GM (he GMs my weekly campaign which will meet tonight). The aim was to free a sector from a media blackout and Imperial crackdown following the death of the Emperor.

It started out small -rescue a Rebel operative, find a diplomat; got progressively trickier -find a journalist, get into the media centre and blast the truth to the entire sector or raiding an Imperial base to get supplies; and ended up with a full three-stage attack of a dogfight over the capital planet, the guys who went to capture the goverenor and my group who went to disengage the shields over the sector so orbital bombardment could commence.

My main memories of that is the fact my Chadra-Fan had the most injuries (destroyed face and lost an arm), highest kill count and killed 2 out of the 3 PC deaths. It worked really well as you never had the same team make up twice so every mission went differently.

This looks fun for sure, very much a style I enjoy, very interested. Ill be most intrigued to see if they have added anything for PC's other than the occasional ship or item. its an area i feel the Adventure books have lacked in the past, some species would be a good idea.

The product description mentions stats for making Mandolorian PCs so that could be fun.

I think that the most interesting part is the idea that this adventure may ask the PCs to do morally questionable activities for the Rebellion. This is in contrast to the hard line of morality that the Rebellion usually draws--these are the people that rejected most Separatist holdouts despite the potential military assets they could offer. I'm waiting to see how far from that this will be going...
