Can't wait to see the Krath roll three Yellows, nab a triumph, two success, two advantage.

Out of curiosity, have you heard anything from jnrschulz? Is he out? On hold? Will we be playing with 5 characters for a while or will you be looking for a new player now?

Haven't heard yet, not sure how to progress. Thinking about it.

There are 6 Krath warriors. This is what they look like.

First group:

1eA+1eP : 2 successes, 1 advantage [1eA=A] [1eP=S/S]

Second:

1eA+1eP : 0 successes, 2 advantage [1eA=A/A] [1eP=-]

Third:

1eA+1eP : 1 success, 3 advantage [1eA=A/A] [1eP=S/A]

Looking at it, here's the order (I think):

  1. PC
  2. PC
  3. NPC
  4. NPC
  5. PC
  6. NPC
  7. PC
  8. PC

So, what lucky heroes want the first slots? I make no claim on one, being responsible for one of the last slots. I would suggest that having ranged specialists go before the melee-oriented fighters...

Seems to me like Dubi and Massan focus on ranged while Kallu and Drask focus on melee. And Kanti can focus on screaming "not the face, not the face" until she can nab a blaster from one of the baddies...

What range are they at?

I would've said let our heavy hitters (which I think is Dubi and Drask) go first, see if they can whittle them down some. Or if we did want to let the ranged characters go first, that would be Dubi and Massan. Which has the advantage of Massan's character being online now, moving things along a bit.

Either seems fine to me. As a mediocre melee character, Kallu will definitely be taking a later slot

Medium range. So if some of them close, you can then move in and attack them. Unless they spend strain to move from medium to engaged and then beat us up. In which case we're foooked.

Yeah, it probably makes sense to shoot first, hit later. What the hell, might as well... :D

So, a maneuver to draw the pistol, action to shoot the lead soldier, flipping a DP to give me a slightly better chance (**** that failed fear check):

Shooting at lead soldier : 1eA+2eP+2eD+1eS 1 failure, 2 advantage

I'll use both advantages for a free maneuver. Which will be spent to run the fekk away!

I'm good either way. I'll likely have to take strain to close the gap in order to move from Med to Engaged. But I'm good with taking one of the back slots if we want our ranged people to go first.

Why take strain if you can let them move first?

The correct answer is: To take cover. But you weren't going to do that, right? :D

So, everybody do me a favor and calculate damage before soak. This roll here is 10 damage and 4 pierce.

One enemy goes down, one is injured.

First NPC slot: a pair advances to short range, fires at Drask.

2eA+1eP+1eD : 4 successes [2eA=S/S, S] [1eP=S/A] [1eD=Th]

Which translates to 5 damage after soak.

Second NPC slot: The injured NPC moves to cover.

Kallu will spend a manuver to engage with the closest Krath, a second manuver to draw his stealth vibroknife, and an action to try and stab them with it.

4 dammage, pierce 1. Not very impressive, I know. I'll wait until I know whether that does any damage before posting my IC post. The 1 advantage I'll spend on giving a boost to the next acting player.

Stab Krath : 1eP+1eA+2eD 1 success, 1 advantage
oops - forgot my setback from fear. I'll roll that now

Fear setback : 1eS 0 successes, 1 threat
(I should probably have let Drask go next. Thought there were 2 PC slots now. Nevermind)
1 threat cancels out the advantage. So no boost to the next acting player (sorry next acting player!)

Yeah, Kallu's bark is currently rather a lot worse than his bite. His bite will improve, eventually

So which group did Kallu attack? I think the NPCs go before Drask gets to go. Drask will move up and attack I guess which ever group is closest after the NPC's move and attack. So that should be the first group, the ones that shot at him.

I honestly don't remember. I found it odd that it was censored and I did not notice it was censored until I saw you quote it. I'm trying to recall what I said so I can figure out not to use that word again. Although I didn't think it was bad.

Also I'm pretty sure that will be the coolest Drask will ever be as I don't see 5 advantages again in my future.

I'm assuming it is some synonym with "grab." Pilfer, ******, seize, snag, pluck, nab, grapple.
