Ok - I feel like the plan is to ditch parts hunting, and try and steal a speeder or speeders to escape on, and hope we can cannibalise those to fix the ship (does everyone agree?) Are there any speeders around, or are we near anywhere likely to have speeders (such as the spaceport)?
Peril on Naboo [OOC]
Ok - we could probably do with a bit more detail about where we are, and what's around us then. Do you want a perception check? Or some kind of local knowledge check (I don't know if Naboo is core worlds or outer rim)?
I'll just say. You just left the medical facility, and haven't had time to go parts hunting, so that's where you are. The nearby area is more tailored for residential shopping and use, and most of what you traveled through is near a lot of residential areas. It's hard from a cursory glance to tell of it's upper class or mid- or low-class residential, as Theed is older and very pretty, though you are a ways from the Palace.
So, to sum up: near a hospital/medical facility, near residential neighborhoods. I should also say that the people are already starting to panic around you.
OK, I'll edit out the reference to the starport. I was trying to play on jnrschulz idea, hoping the five of us would meet him there. From his answer above I'm sort of sure he starts the game alone. Or what? I'm not really sure.

I really think we should discuss this IC!
I misunderstood, I thought we had both the parts and the medical supplies.
As for ditching part hunting, that would stop us from getting off the planet, which is Massan's main goal, so that's not going to fly for him. I'm not sure we could use parts from a groundspeeder to get a starship up and running. Sounds a little like taking parts from a bicycle to repair an 18-wheeler truck.
So I would still be all for getting a speeder/transportation, find some place to raid the parts from and then get out of Theed.
I was thinking that everybody, including Osfmor, were in the same area as the the medical facility at the start. Osfmor is a relative stranger but could go "hey, you look competent" and everybody work together. That's just my thought. Actually, I wasn't sure about the parts themselves, but I've been busy the last few days and sort of forgot about them.
Whatever the group consensus be, it needs to involve moving through the city, because several events will happen while you are still inside.
So what parts do we need, and where's the nearest place we're likely to find them?
A number of parts that they could be carried on several persons reasonably well, or loaded into the trunk of a speeder; nothing as big or major as a new hyperdrive or engines, but significant enough to ground a ship until repaired/replaced. As far as where, a space port is probably the best bet.
Speaking of space ports, as far as I can tell, the big space port we see in Episode II didn't exist until after Episode I, so any space port in this setting would likely be much smaller. It would probably be something used for minor nobility and the wealthy, and the palace has its own personal hangars, so relatively small compared to what everybody is thinking of when they read "space port."
Ok cool. I'll not edit my IC post then, as it still more or less fits (in spite of my previous misunderstanding)
Been extremely busy today.
I don't want to immediately turn PvP interactions into skill checks, just work that out through RP. So no need for a Charm check at this time.
I'm wanting to advance us along, but I need some consensus on what your next immediate plan of action will be.
We need a response from Osfmor (jnrschulz) before progressing, but I think the rest of us want to boost an appropriately-sized speeder and then try to find a small spaceport of some description, or a repair facilities that might have the parts we need.
I'm down for either stealing parts then loading a speeder, then fixing the ship, or alternatively...
Stealing a ship, picking up the captain and his daughter, and Kanti and the captain pilot the whole kit n' kaboodle the hell out of
Dodge
Theed.

This seems workable.

Don't forget all the Chaos fighters. We wouldn't get very far in a ship right now. If we can get the parts to the damaged ship we could wait until the battle, such as it will be, is over and the main fleet has moved on to the next target before taking off.

Fail every attempt we don't try for.

This really is a discussion we should be having IC, no?
We have already failed just such an attempt. And now you want to steal a ship (assuming there are ships to steal), take off, avoid enemy fighters that the GM has been clear about patroling the sky over the city, fly to wherever the other ship is, pick up passengers (still dodging the fighters), take off, head to space, facing capital ships and more fighters and try to get away? Us on a stolen starship against an invasion fleet? Sorry for being blunt, but that sounds particularly suicidal.
But again, this is something we should discuss IC, see what the others think and go from there.
Can't discuss much until we get a reply from Osfmor. Additionally, yes. I am proposing such a feat. Because why not? If it's entertaining and fun, then let's do this thing.
Light this candle.
Blast off.
Rock out with, well probably best to stop now.
So long as this feat gets proposed IC!!! It would make for a good debate. Drask will likely go for the option that will net him the most glory but you know ....
OK. But now we're kind of stuck until Osfmor replies IC...
Dubi would naturally "follow the leader" and go with the flow just to remain "safe" and feel useful, it's why in the "what do we do next?" discussion I've kept quiet IC. Me as the player think we should probably not be trying a daring escape just yet of that nature as it looks like a firey ball of death has been set up but it'd certainly be an interesting experiment!
Soooo. Perhaps that officer we noticed was not Osfmor after all? That would allow us to continue the game after a quick GM post detailing the officer's reply, since jnrschulz isn't posting...
Jnr did say it would mostly be weekend posts. I sent a PM just to double check, but before too long I'll move us along.
Just a FYI most of my posting will be at night and on the weekend (mostly Sunday).
I understood him to mean at night during weekdays and mostly Sunday on the weekend. Am I understanding it wrong?

That's how I read it.
Got a reply, jnr has been having internet connectivity problems of late, so I'll move us along. Comrade, you're last post can be to a generic security officer, in which case we'll make it an easy Charm check to get some assistance/information.
Well, I hope he can get back on track soon
