I am new to FFG products, so I hadn't heard this. Is all of the art we've seen in Destiny just reused from other FFG Star Wars games?
Will this be canon characters only?
FFG has a lot of cross pollination of art between their games, but I'm sure there will be original pieces for this game along with some reused art.
I haven't seen any reused art so far although I haven't looked closely.
There's definitely reused art between the LCG, X wing and the RPG. I'd suspect IA as well, although I'm not certain.
yeah but I haven't seen any of that reused in destiny yet

I remember seeing one recycled art piece from X-Wing or the LCG when I was at Gencon, but can't recall which. It was not a character or support (die) card, it was an action card. Nothing major, but like I said can't recall exactly which one.
Going through the images that Team Covenant put up on their Facebook page I came up with a list of about a dozen cards in Destiny that I recognize from the LCG. Most of them are events or support, and all are OT time-frame. My personal favorite is Let The Wookie Win, which not only uses the same art as an LCG card, but also has the same title.
Long story short, they do a good job of zooming, tweaking, optimizing, etc but there is A LOT of reused art between their various platfrorms if you look for it. Which is just smart business, I don't fault them in the least, especially since the art is generally of a pretty high quality.

I agree the art is generally great. It also makes their games a lot less cheesy than those that use movie stills.
I used to play Star Wars Pocketmodels a lot and it always put me off a bit that that was what they resorted too. Sometimes it worked, cause they could grab a really killer moment in the movies that made the car pop. Other times, it was just a blurry craptastic mess that made me wonder how it even made it past whatever infinitesimally small amount of QC WizKids actually did.

Also Millennium Falcon . Same art, same title.
Leias is same as her Imperial Assault card.
Falcon is the same as its first LCG card.
The Best Defense...is same as Heavy Stormtrooper squad.
It's not until I saw him up close that I noticed: Luke looks a little terrified on his card. There's none of that solemn determination that marked his character's growth in Jedi . Still, phenomenal art all around. This game could easily replace the LCG among non-players who just love collecting Star Wars artwork.
cannot wait to have a jyn erso and gang themed deck

I'm curious to see if they change up the format after a few more sets come out to allow for a full "team" of characters, such as the Star Wars Rebels team or the team from Rogue One. Maybe some sort of competitive rules for doubles, or an increased minimum hand/maximum character point value. Not sure how it would work with the current hit points of characters though.
have jyn and the captain as main characters and rest as support , uwing as upgrade , darkside would be krennick and vader with support from death trooper and beach trooper and deathstar as an upgrade
Really hoping Beach Trooper isn't their official title.

Well, you got your wish - apparently they're called "shoretroopers":
