Berserker Rage Skill Question

By Doom Hammer, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Just a quick question and I oppologise if this has been asked before I just finished playing 1st edition decent and now moved on to 2nd edition.

Can I activate the berserker rage skill as many times as I can pay the fatigue cost in one turn and I have targets. If so, I pressume I can spend unused surges rolled during the attack to recover fatigue?

Berserker rage can be activate once for each attack as long as you have the fatigue.

You can use ONLY 1 unused surge to recovers only 1 fatigue, unless other skills allow you to recovers more

and don't forget that if you could use as many times as same ability, on the second edition, you can only use each surge ability only ONCE per attack.

As long as you have less Fatigue than your Stamina, you can keep using Rage to attack, and as with all attack actions, you can spend 1 of your surges to remove 1 Fatigue.

Just remember that if you have Fatigue equal to your Stamina, you cannot use Rage at all.

So if you're thinking about being at your Fatigue/Stamina treshold, use Rage, and then recover the fatigue needed, you can't do that.

I haven't seen this clearly stated in the replies yet, but Rage is an action (indicated by the arrow). That means regardless of how much fatigue you have to spend, the use of Rage is limited by the number of actions you have available, as well. Except in extremely rare circumstances, that's a maximum of twice per round (and you still need the fatigue to spend.)

Thanks for the clarification, I missed the importance of the arrow and hadn't realised it counted towards the two actions per turn. Now rage is just a good card and not utterly sick as it first appeared.
