Some questions from my first session of WH:I

By j-tech2, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

I use the term "session" lightly, as it was really a shadow match played against myself. I played the Empire deck versus the Orc deck. It seemed to run ok, but I did come across some questions that didn't seem to be answered in the rules.

1) I assume all damage is persistent and does not normally heal or remove itself (at the end of a turn or whatever, a la Magic)?

2) Can Support buildings with Power symbols deal damage in combat? Or can only units deal combat damage?

3) I assume that all racial symbols from played Units and Supports add to the total number of Unit symbols for the purposes of cost reduction of cards from each race?

4) A section of your Citadel that is burning doesn't have any other negative connotations, does it? Like the Quest zone will still provide as many cards as it was from the Supports that were there and such?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, so judging from watching those handy tutorial videos, it appears that....

1) All damage is persistent.

2) Support buildings cannot deal damage in combat, and only use their symbols for the Resource or Card draw effects in the Kingdom and Quest zones.

3) Racial symbols are indeed counted from Units played to the board.

But I have a few new questions...

5) Can I deploy a Unit who is currently in the Quest zone to a pre-existing Quest, or can only newly played Units be issued to a Quest?

6) When playing a Unit to a Quest, do you still have to pay the cost of bringing that Unit into play?

4) Other than tracking the status of the Zone to determine the winner the only other impact that a burning Zone has (AFAIK) is that you can't apply damage to it. So you still get to draw cards etc

5) Units have to be played from your hand to a quest

6) Yes. But don't forget that the Resource put on a Quest card while someone is questing on it is not from the Resources generated by your Kingdom
