First list with all my new toys.

By Kahadras, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Just received all my wave 3/4 stuff and I decided to draw up a quick list to try out both of the new Rebel ships...

Admiral - General Dodonna

Flagship - CR90 Corvette B + High Capacity Ion Turbines

MC-80 Battle Cruiser + Mon Karren + Intel Officer + X-17 Turbolasers + Leading Shots

Nebulon B Escort Frigate + Salvation + Spinal Armament

GR-75 Medium Transport + Bright Hope + Toryn Farr + Expanded Hanger Bays

3 A-Wing Squadrons

4 YT-2400

= 390/400

The general idea is for the Mon Karren and the Salvation to be the big one-two punch of the fleet. The Mon Karren is designed to give my opponent minimal options when it comes to defence tokens while the Salvation provides a decent long range punch with it's frontal turbolaser batteries. The role of the CR90 is to cover the flanks of the other two ships or to close in to deliver a knock out blow against enemy vessels. The GR-75 is solely there to act as a cheap carrier for my A-Wing squadron and to stick close enough to my MC-80/CR-90 for them to benefit from Toryn Farr.

Mon Karren only allows one defence token so your Intel and XI7s that hamper defence tokens are not really needed. Move Intel onto salvation and ditch XI7s for gunnery teams.

Perhaps you're right. My reasoning was that the combination makes defending against the MC-80 really tough. Either you use your brace (and then lose it due to Intel Officer) or you redirect a single point of damage or you take the full damage and mitigate the critical. One thought I had was to drop the title from the MC-80 and use the saved points to get an Intel Officer for the Nebulon B. It would assist in locking down (or removing) those brace defence tokens. Seen as Intel Officer is slightly cheaper than the Mon Karren title and I still have some points left over I could lower my initiative bid and take the Endeavor title instead.
