So I would like to start off by saying I lost both fights, but that is not outside of normal for me. What I found interesting and I would like to share was the effects of combining Dodana, XX9's, XI7's, and Fire control teams. It was brutally efficient in taking down an ISD.

What ended up being the down fall of my list was the choice to try out the Fire control teams over the more popular gunnery teams. Due to the lack of the second shout out of the front arc of the battle cruisers I was punished by my second opponents 4 aggressor fighters who managed to roll a hit every single time they shot. Little buggers.

The Liberty performed great, I am primarily an imperial bull in a china shop so the ship fit my style very well. I was able to get right into the fight by turn 2 in the first game and his isd was down by the end of turn three. Of course to be fair non Karren was also dead by the end of turn three and by the end of turn 4 the other battle cruiser was also kia.

Anyway, just wanted to share that. I am looking at dropping home one in favor of yvaris and a few y wings with a wing escort

You just made me want to change my order list from 1 Liberty expansion to 2.

What were you up against?

I don't remember the exact builds so please bare with me. I was second player in both matches

Opponent 1 - superior positions

ISDII

Raider X 2

Victory 1

Interceptors x2

Howl runner

Oppenent 2 - superior positions

Interdictor - supression

Victory 1

Victory 1

Aggressors X 4

Battle 1 - we went strait for each others throats off, the raiders flanked while the Vic isd and my three went at it. The isd Mon Karren fell first, then the isd, then the second lib. The Vic escaped with only a few points of damage and home one took no hull damage.

Battle 2 - my opponent made great use of advanced projectors and suppression assets of the Interdictor. The engineering value of the Interdictor saved it from death twice, and 9 blasted hull points. The Vic's and the lies slugged it out. I was taken down mainly by the aggressors once my shields were down. Losing 4 hull per turn from fighters was too much to over come.

VSD/Interdictor has shown up in all of the post-release matches around here. That scrambler functions well enough as a psuedo-ECM (it feels like a brace that can ignore accuracies) to make them playable again.

As for Liberty: I bought 2 and have no regrets. Two of them with Madine is a fun fleet as you can nearly always set up double shots out the front.

The scrambler is awesome for what the cost is, but the Interdictor is pretty expensive, but reuseable Lando is great. Although the scrambler only works for attacks from close range, so anyone able to stay at medium/long can shut it down.

Close range for other ships as well. So you can keep your GSD's alive so that you dont have to always have Demo
