The Jedi Order- Guardians of Peace and Order in the Republic. But as Separatist worlds break away and the Jedi order is called upon as military leaders, lack of experience has led to several unfortunate incidents, where Jedi have, for the best moral reasons, made catastrophic military mistakes.

As the war continues to wind up, Training camps have been established, with Knights and Padawons being rotated through before being assigned to lead clones into battle.

With an urgent mission calling their Masters away, several Padawons are on their way to the training facility on ARDA I....

Tessrah walked into the lounge sitting legs folded on of the couches. She reassembled her saber putting the crystal back into its place. Her red orange skin matched the leather handle of her shoto Saber that had similar triangle shaped jewelery that matched the headdress she wore as well. Her blue eyes examined the Saber making sure it was back in its normal form clipping it back to a simple belt. She wore black leggings and a a mid drift exposing top with long sleeves a light long black coat with loops of fabric pulled over her monitrails to keep the hood over her back lekku covered. She was had just turned 18 corescanti years and was ready to get started with their mission. She sat calmly waiting for the others on board to pass by she really dreaded not having anyone to talk to.

Dera is meditating cross-legged on her bunk. When she hears the countdown, she opens her eyes and gets to her feet. She clips her lightsaber to her belt, and pats the spot where her blaster is tucked into the outer layer of her robes, checking to make sure it's secure. She retrieves a long, dark brown, sleeveless coat from where it had been sitting, neatly folded, beside her. She slips it on, then glances around the room at the other Padawans.

"I have my things," she says, though that's mostly by virtue of her lack of things to have—only her clothing and her weapons. "Everyone ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be" said Kor entering the room. The impressively tall Cerean entered the room with his armor freshly polished ready for a fight. "This training it's to learn battlefield strategy, to learn to lead. I've seen my share of fights but I'm not the leader sort." Kor sits beside his fellow padawans waiting, ready to get into action.

Dera smiles sympathetically at Kor. "It will be fine, I'm sure of it. Better to learn the skill—or our limits—now, instead of in a crisis, right?" She straightens the tunic of her outer robes. "They'll not give us challenges we can't match."

Still, Dera doesn't share the feeling of being out-of-place; her nascent gift for Battle Meditation is why she's here, now, and she's looking forward to the training on the ground. There's still some trepidation, of course, but, for now, Dera is filled with confidence—and she's doing her best to spread that confidence to the other Padawans.

Kor turns to Dera, "I'm not worried for my well being on the battlefield, I'm just pointing out I might not be the best battlefield commander. I'm worried for the troops I'm going to be entrusted with. But we will see, won't we." Kor takes his Lightsaber from his backpack and places it on his belt, his saber is simple in appearance yet the hilt shines brightly, well polished. Turning his attention back to his fellow padawans "So what do the rest of you think of our new mission?"

"That's why we're training," Dera says. "Actual command is still a ways in the distance."

And that's when she realizes that Tessrah is missing. She sighs, and looks back at the others. "Excuse me a moment. I'm going to go track down Tessrah." She nods to them and walks out.

Now, where would Tessrah be? Not eating—it was hardly mealtime. In the training room? Surely the other woman was more ready than that.

With a small shake of her head, Dera walks down to the lounge. Sure enough, the Togruta is there, and Dera wanders over to her. "Hello, Tessrah." She smiles. "Thought I'd find you here. Ready for disembarking?"

Tessrah saw Dera walk into view. She smiled happy to see her since there were few women in the ranks of clone troopers.

"Deraaa" she waved "I was feeling a bit cooped up and it's been a while since anyone has spoken to me." she sat properly on the couch and let her big blue eyes follow Dera.

She considered the question a moment "yes, yes I have been ready it's why I was waiting in the lounge for the others to show up."

"why? Were we supposed to meet somewhere else? "

Dera is, as is usual, mildly taken aback by the Togruta's exuberance; even after the journey, she's still not used to it. She shakes her head. "Nothing's been arranged, but most of us are in the bunkroom." She doesn't comment on the odd assumption that they'd be gathering in the lounge, of all places, but she's certainly thinking it. "I just wanted to check in."

She laughs quietly. "I suppose I'm mostly looking for something to do." Dera has never been the sort to sit around doing nothing—no, meditation doesn't count as "nothing," but it is much harder when there's a time limit involved.

Tessrah scooted over a bit. "it's why I dislike space travel. Give me a sprawling city or wide open plains. I've watched such beautiful planets become scorch as I've lead troopers along side my master. Yeah, I feel your boredom however I probably need to take a step back from the front lines "

Dera reaches up to touch her Padawan braid, which she twines around her fingers. "I'll have to disagree, there. Out here, with only the stars or the clouds of hyperspace, it's peaceful in ways no planet could ever be." She lets the Padawan braid fall, and returns to looking serious. "I need the training," she says. "We all do." She straightens and takes a step back, glancing towards the doorway. "We should return to the bunkroom. Best if we're all in one place when it's time to disembark."

She gave a odd sideways look, it was obviously a difference in opinion. Tessrah liked feeling the force of other things than the force in a void which was less noisy. Mostly she didn't like the high pitched noises that ships made that were in her monitrails range in sound frequency she could hear. Routinely she had to over them with pillows to lessen the sound from the ships engines just so she could sleep. "I suppose that we should I haven't been with other padawans for a while, much too busy I guess." she stood next to Dera she wasn't notably tall had it not been for her long horns they added a good 8-10 inches to her height but she seemed slightly short. She walked alongside Dera back to the padawans bunks she had requested a room farther away from aft of the ship just for the sake of trying to sleep. "who is you master if you don't mind my asking?"

"We have the privilege of being the sort who can naturally lead," Soryn intones to Kor while Dera excuses herself, his voice a little flat, and he turns from the transparisteel viewport and away from the endless light of hyperspace. Hands clasped behind his back, his lightsaber hanging from his belt, the lean Pau'an regards the other Padawans in the room, and smiles slightly before continuing, showing pointed and jagged teeth. "People tend to take notice when a Jedi enters a situation, and this particular situation spans a number of worlds. I, for one, relish the chance to train in something more... Practical."

Dera stops, about to open the door to the bunkroom. "My master? His name is Velec Naura," she says, voice becoming quieter, more determined. She respects her master utterly, to a level that had bordered on hero worship when she was younger. She presses the button to open the door and steps through.

Giving a nod to the assembled Padawans, Dera wanders over to the room's transparisteel window. With time too short to return to her meditation, she instead gazes out at the numberless spiraling clouds, hands clasped behind her back in the universal pose for Thinking Hard About Something.

Alright, so she is a bit worried now, but not about the training. About her master and his urgent mission. She gives a small shake of her head and pushes the worry from her mind. Things will go as they will go.

Nimara sat on the floor with Pouncer - his clamberwolf, who was currently asleep. The large creature was surprisingly quiet during the trip, having mostly just followed Nimara around, instead of pestering the other Padawans or the clones that staffed the ship. The Mirialan Padawan scratched the ears of his canine companion, and looked up at the others. He'd trained with several of the other Padawans when they were all younglings, but his time with Master Sinube meant that he hadn't seen most of them in quite a while before being called back to Coruscant. Fortunately, due to Master Sinube's advanced age, he was stationed on Coruscant, to watch the other younglings and carry out their training.

Standing up, Nimara grabbed his lightsaber from where it lay on his bunk, and attached it to the hook on his belt. Pouncer opened one eye, and glanced up at his master, before getting back up on all fours. Given how the others were voicing their thoughts on the upcoming training mission, Nimara decided it was finally time to speak up.

"If we are to become Knights someday, we need to protect others. I wish we weren't at war as much as anyone else, but learning how to command effectively means that we don't waste clone lives, nor do we risk the lives of civilians. We're all going to have to face challenges in the future, and this at least prepares us for them."

Tessrah stood near the door and looked somewhat blankly at the other padawans. She put her hands behind her back and waited for what seemed for a few moments. "soooo everyone enjoying the trip?"

Shad stood up from his bunk where he was studying absentmindedly his lightsaber, tracing with his eyes the metallic hilt ornated with black lines matching his facial tattoos. As he was standing he almost almost scraped his horns against the top bunk. Clipping the lightsaber to his belt, he walked to where the other padawans were gathered. While walking he grabbed the robe of his jedi tunic hanging near his bunk and put it on, preparing for disembarking.

The zabrak looked at Tessrah and smiled "It' was allright, not much to do except meditating and socializing". He leaned against the wall of the bunkroom. "when are we landing?"

Tessrah shrugged "perhaps we should ask the ships commander." she walked to a comm panel pushing the command line. "excuse me sir this is padawan Tessrah excuse me but could I ask when we are expecting to land on Arda?" she depressed the button and waited calmly for a reply.

Dera nods to Nimara. "Exactly," she says. "We're here because we have a duty to the Republic, natural leaders or not." She turns around and steps back towards the loose grouping in the center of the room. "And," she adds, "while we're down there, we'll at least not be alone. I know I can rely on all of you." She gives the room a determined sort of smile, looking at everyone in turn. "And I hope the trust is mutual."

"Ready or not," she continues, "it's almost time."

She hopes it's almost time, at least.

'Out of curiosity, what do you expect of where we are going?'

The sound came from a figure, whose backpack probably weighted significantly more than they did. His natural coat and the one he wore over it both made the person look like a small blot in the eye, if only he wasn't looking up at the rest of the group from so close.

Tessrah looked a little troubled she turned back to the comm panel "commander??? Are you there?"

Dera puts a hand on Tessrah's shoulder. "Be patient. I'm sure he's just busy."

She looked at Deras hand and patted it with her own.

"that's what concerns me, space is really big there is little to keep you busy."

Kor looking directly at both them, "Tessrah could be onto something, the Commander could be dead! However, he is most likely relieving himself there are restrooms on this Ship."

Tessrah turned with her arms crossed her eyes narrowed as she spoke.

"your attempt of satire is unbecoming. "
