Yup. We're usually a Saturday Matinee family, but some heartless bastard scheduled a goddamn family holiday party for that day and we have rough plans for Sunday as well.

A Group was a unit of starfighter organization. In the Imperial Navy, it consisted of three squadrons of twelve fighters each.

I sure am going to love being able to put this on my table... HEL-YAH!!!

So, for HotAC, I created a squadron: Corsair Squadron. based loosely on the custom campaign I created for XvT and XvT: BoP in the 90's.

The squadron's colors are blue. I'll upload some pics of the models I had painted over the summer.

Blue Squadron was the name of several starfighter squadrons in operation in the decades prior to the Yuuzhan Vong War:

I wanted more "Saving Private Ryan"... but yeah it is going to be a real movie... looks like Gurl Han actually is dying as she walks towards that TIE... I might love this dam-movie.

It was funny how much of Trailer 1 was NOT in the movie. She never said "This is the Rebellion, I've come to rebel" and of course this scene was replaced by a TIE Striker shooting the platform.

I've heard two versions of why this scene was cut:

a) it was just a vfx test, not intended to be in the movie

b) right after what we see in the trailer an X-wing blasts the TIE out of the sky, which was too similar to the scene where Baz tries a missile against an AT-ACT

I think a) seems likely - why a TIE Fighter all of the sudden, we don't see any other /ln under the shield.

Well it wasn't just that scene. Lets not forget the Droid saying "Captain says you are a friend, I will not kill you."

Yea a ton of stuff from the first couple trailers and the behind the scenes footage from celebration was cut after the reshoots.

I'd bet the original cut had a bunch of them surviving, which would have been a way worse ending.

Unless it was actually the ending I was sort of half expecting, in which a bunch of them survive and go to meet with Leia and Bail to discuss the plans.
