I want to say that I'm so glad about the attention to details. In TFA, keeping up with the laziness theme of the movie, all the T-70s, except for the special snowflake, which by the way is just the standard paintjob with inversed colours, were identical, designers didn't bother to check what the stripes on the wings mean. Here it seems each fighter is unique and the markings work as intended.

Each X-wing has 5 stripes because the most popular X-wing in ANH, Luke's, had 5 stripes.

You heavily implied it's a bad movie, it's a legitimate assumptions based on your posts, as you'd also complain about script, design and location.

You did provide proof of the stripes, but not that it was anything to do with lazy design or filming. It's one thing to like or dislike uniformity, but to blame it on people being lazy is a little unfair.

As for military issue, you're right, in ANH hope they're not. But in TFA, the T70's are ex-military supplied by the republic to the resistance due to their tacit support against the First order.

I don't buy the "military" excuse, it'd mean that the military decided to ditch the actual function of stripes (identification) but paint them anyway for purely cosmetic reasons.

The detail on these 1/6th miniatures is amazing.

You know it took me a while to love Rey... but with Jyn I am on board now and haven't even seen the film.

Well surprise surprise, I just noticed this Imperial Cargo Shuttle is taking off from the Rebel base.

The more I see from the trailers, the more I feel that none of the main characters will make it out alive. And that's not a bad thing.

It really should be a one way trip for the whole rebel ground team. That said, so long as lime 90% bite it and Vader gets his big screen 'best villain ever' worth moment, ill forgive them having a few escape by the skin of their teeth. Would definitely prefer them all to make the ultimate sacrifice.

So excited now. I managed to restrain myself for TFA but I have a feeling this is going to be right up there with eps IV (the best because it IS Star Wars) and V (the best because it's actually a fantastic movie not just fantastic star wars movie)!

Forget Jyn, she is cool and all, K-2SO is where it is at, the more I see him in the trailers the better he seems. Then again I kind of like most of the droid characters in Star Wars, so I'm a tad biased.

This is not likely to be some generic VCX as if they were going to add one it would be the Ghost.

Anyone who has watched Rebels will tell you it fits that the Phantom is missing.

No way he's either. Both have a rather signature appearance they're not keen on moving away from. Color palettes that simply will not change.

They're up to 27 TV spots and each one has some little extra bit.

I count 6 Y-wings in these shots, not sure they are all Gold Squadron.

And in the top right, those look more like Headhunters than X-wings to me.

Look like X-Wings to me. And K-2SO is definitely going to steal the show.
