Does any figure have a "facing" line of sight?

By Dr Executioner, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Hi guys,

I have a simple doubt, the line of sight needs to be drawn from the way that the figure is facing? I mean, if an figure in facing left, can it shoot to the right/draw line of sight? Regardless of the figure ou its size?

Thanks

There is no facing in Imperial Assault.

See Large figures. You pick any of the spaces to draw line of sight to and from a large figure. (Line of sight can be drawn through both the target and the attacker.) And you (separately) determine the required accuracy for the attack (from the chosen starting space to the target space).

Any rotations performed for non-symmetrical figures are just to aid movement and line of sight.

Ok, so, to move in a certain direction it needs to be facing front?

I mean, the figure is facing left and wants to move right, does it need to rotate first?

Thanks

No, just to move through 2-width corridor, a 2x3 figure needs to be 'sideways'.

A small figure can move in any of the 8 directions, and a large figure can move to any of the 4 orthogonal directions (no diagonals).

Oh that clarified everything, it changes the whole dynamic of my gaming, we're doing it entirely wrong..

Thanks man!

AT-STs have aft lasers we've just never seen before, and E-Web Engineers carry sidearms that are just as powerful as their mounted canons. :P

The E-Web is a tripod mounted weapon, one assumes he can swivel that 360 degrees. At least this one does (and I'm not even a Hanar).
