I've got a session tomorrow and one of my PC's has say a million credit (or more) bounty on him but another is Cad Bane's nephew and no one wants to cross Cad Bane by killing his nephew who might end up as collateral damage so I imagine that hunters trying to collect the bounty would try to snipe Cad Bane's nephew with a long (or extreme) range stun weapon first to take him out of the fight so that they don't have to risk killing him when they attempt to kill the PC with the bounty.

I have all the books (except forged in battle) but searching through them would take a while, so I was hoping someone could just name a book and weapon in one.

Yes there are two in this book that fit the bill: the LBR-9 (energy) and the Model 77 (slug). The 77 is easily the stealthier of the two, but might have some problems if the target is heavily armored.

Fortunately, the Model 77 has pierce 4.

The Blastech M300 in Savage Spirits is also an extreme range sniper blast that (oddly) does stun damage.

It was confirmed as being a typo and should be stun setting.

Stun setting limits the range to short, right? Unfortunately, I can't check my books right now. (Tangent - Would you allow talents like Sniper Shot to increase that range?)

So you cannot use these weapons in the way you want to. You need "stun damage" weapons.

The SWE/2 Sonic Rifle from Far Horizons is a good option, and others have already mentioned the LBR-9 Stun Rifle from Enter the Unknown.

As Sniper Shot alters the range of the weapon, and the range of the weapon - on Stun - is Short, I'd allow it to extend the range beyond short when used with a weapon on the Stun Setting. I like novel solutions to problems like this from my players and, in general, Sniper Shot has few enough uses as it is...

The sonic rifle is a real nasty piece of work in the right hands. Concussive....wow

You could also take the E-11s Sniper Rifle and have it be modified for stun damage only.

The gear of the NPC sniper Nej Renda now belongs to the PCs, he never even got a shot off (thanks to uncle Cad Bane who sniped Nej first with a head shot). It was a super cool session though, you can read about a high light in another dead NPC's Myria Vondin 's write up
