Is there a quickfix for the MC80's Liberty's unpainted 8th,9th engine?

I'm not sure if it's just mine, but my Liberty is missing the baby blue paint in the furthest out engines. Now that I have an excuse to start painting does anyone have any beginner's guide to just painting small details on the ships and perhaps the closest color that FFG uses on the engines. I also want to be able to paint some bright red/orange up the Interdictor's spinal crevices or perhaps some carbon scoring to simulate blast marks on the ships too.

Thin your paints down with water so that they are maybe a bit thicker than milk. Start with a Base color to the whole area you are painting (so a darker engine blue) then add a drop of white and paint inside that area a bit, do it again, and again, until desired results.

Here's a tutorial from the X-Wing forum on how to do simple weathering with pencils . Not kidding. Actual pencils.

The engine paint - I think Vallejo Sky Blue is close (actually more striking - it's a great paint for blue engine glow).

Mine's the same. Also, it seems that the studio Liberty actually has ten engines rather than the 9 on the Armada model:

In both images you can make out a small engine in the fantail, below the two largest engines.

I figure that the reason people (including the FFG Armada modellers) think the Liberty only has 9 - was that SWTC's Curtis Saxton theorised that the "Wingless Liberty" model belly engine had been taken off, a fantail installed, and wings installed, to turn it into the Liberty model

http://www.theforce.net/swtc/mcc.html#liberty

- everyone else went with that assumption, and it was never realised that the fantail went over the engine and it was never taken off in the first place.
