That forum is full of too many "That Guy" folks. The tournament scene overrode everything else with the members there.
Continuing to discuss it is also irrelevant to how awesome the Trailer is 
I have high hopes that the Rogue 1 series will be the prequels we actually deserved.
I mean, there is so much elbow room in the rebellion story to come up with or repurpose a ton of characters and events that can touch the main storyline either in a tangential fashion or really none at all after the first film.
So far the trailers and everything I've seen has me very excited!
I do not find the X-Wing forum much different than any other forum TBH. There are still a number of knowledgable, helpful, and productive members over there.
I just take it all with a pinch of salt. It is only a game after all.

So I think we're going to see new ships, but they're going to be background items. The imagery indicates to me (in conjunction with Star Wars Battlefront) that Disney has decided that Star Destroyers can and should enter low orbit and even atmosphere as gigantic ominous heralds of doom, which I'm actually quite OK with. However, it further relegates the need for support ships to specialist roles.
However, a small picket force of light cruisers and other ships would be perfect for defending against espionage, guerilla attacks and raiding supply ships.
So I think we're going to see new ships, but they're going to be background items. I think Rebels was doing it before Battlefront: September 2014 as compared to November 2015.

I feel like I'm the only person who looked at that trailer and went, "eh?? Maybe it'll work. Probably." Nothing looks bad from a basic plot or art direction. But a lot of bad movies looked good in their trailers.
From the standpoint of actually having an engineering and physics background (specifically, astrodynamics and rocket design), there are a few painfully stupid things in the trailer. To be fair, I Say this about virtually every movie taking place in space. The Death Star superlaser installation teaser shot really makes no sense.

That's interesting to know. In French we don't capitalize a language name. We capitalize country, nation or city names, but not language.
True, in Dutch it is the same way as in French. Of course the Germans capitalize all nouns, proper or not. Different languages, different rules.

Tie Strikers have been confirmed space capable although their primary focus is atmospheric combat. So far we have for possible squadrons:

I definitely see the Tie Striker and U Wing types coming to Armada perhaps in a rogues and villains esque Rogue One special pack?
