it looks good. still not a lot of story though. too much mystery for my tastes. Instead of an incredibly difficult and complicated story with lots of interesting twists.

This is going to be a straight forward bouncy framed-whip pans-jump cuts- throw the camera around generic action movie with CGI beauty shots of the first Death Star and Star Destroyers. They're not giving you a lot on the story because there isn't a lot of story. Just a lot of "moments" strung together as motivation for the action scenes. We know how the story turns out, we just don't know who lives through it.

Expect by the numbers product cinema.

My one hope is that we see lots of rebels and Imperials die. I hate movies where the good guys just slaughter the villains without suffering many casualties in the process. If there was anything great about the Clone Wars show, it showed a LOT of clones die attempting to be win the field. Even if it's just generic rebel troopers we need to visually see the uphill battle the rebel faced against the Empire not just hear about it.

Its sort've the reason I could never get into Rebels.

The alternate timeline was an excellent idea, all it did was to allow the new movies to interfere with the prime timeline. You can ignore his films if you wish because he did that.

This looks......AMAZING!!!!!! I love everything about this. But if I had one critique (and it really is a non-issue) the Vader reveal was a little anti-climatic. It would have been a lot better if one of the characters had a cocky line like "what could go wrong" or "This will be easy" then cut to Vader.

That being said, other than that one tiny little thing I love this trailer and can not wait for the movie.

This looks absolutely amazing. Such high hopes for this film.

I donly hope we get a nice FPS game out of this movie and set usomething up for a nice RTS

SW Battlefront's last expansion will be Rogue One. So if you consider EA/DICE as a "nice" FPS... and if not... well...

I have much better feelings with Rogue One than I had with TFA. It seems to respect the original material much more. And there is no copypasting storyline whixh is a high bonus

Since we've seen the trailer now, what could we actually see in Armada? So far, the U-Wing (if that's really its name), the new Imperial shuttle, new unique squadrons that are Imperial, and maybe a new Star Destroyer or an alternative paint job. Hope we get more cool stuff though.

The X-Wing forum is not what it used to be. There is too many toxic members there that made the good members fled or not bother anymore.

I do not find the X-Wing forum much different than any other forum TBH. There are still a number of knowledgable, helpful, and productive members over there.

I just take it all with a pinch of salt. It is only a game after all.

As someone who quit X-wing, and yes in part to the increase in crude players, I don't miss the current forum. Though I confess I skim and lurk there to feel out the star wars gaming community. I knew X-wing was in trouble when they started to get Magic players.
