So, I heard BMST leaves you actionless...

Kaa'to as a cheap Attanni engine that can slice and token up. Concussion to give him some teeth.

Palob doesn't need introductions. With Dengar crew, he pretty much doesn't need actions. Slice, steal, token the squad up.

Lady Ven works as the slicer engine. I don't wanna miss out on slicing fun just because you refuse to put PTL on the table. Between K4 and Gyro, she can safely take focus to feed the team, if need be, drop debris or even slice on a pinch. Title for premium fun, Lady Ven has the highest squad PS, meaning she can lower some unlucky b's green dice or set a Concussion shot for Kaa'to at any time.

Kinda of a synergistic orgy of slice, brought down by the fact that 2 of said ships are very fragile. But I'm all up for suggestions, that's what the topic is for.

I was thinking of an Attanni/Slicer list this morning as well. Like you, I ended up with Palob and Kaa'to. I also have Experimental Interface on 4-LOM. Let's me keep my action at the cost of stress, and then pawn the stress off in the end phase.

EDIT: Just looked at my list again. I had Kaa'to in a different list, so I guess our lists aren't so similar. I really like the Palob-Kaa'to pair. Assajj seems perfect for the list. I love how it's built.

One thing, though. If Palob focuses, Kaa'to will already have a focus, so is his ability really that necessary? It just means Kaa'to will have one focus for offense and one for defense; he'll never pull a focus from an ally without already having one himself.

4-LOM is a bit harder to manage for me, but I can definitely see that working great. And probably makes room for an etra ship, since Kaa'to can run efficiently at 17 pts.

Its an interesting idea. The Asajj list has quite a lot of synergy, and is quite well set up to work off those 3 speed greens. That said, I've played her a few times and I'm finding it quite hard to look past tactician as her crew. The ability to double stress is quite powerful (although maybe in my list which uses stress as a control rather than for slicing). I guess the trade off in your list would be a free TL most turns for the double stress potential.

I'm struggling with the Tactician dillema as well, since that means 2 slicing damage. The dealbreaker, for now, was actually the title.

With K4, I have the action-economy to force hits through, apply tractors and not lose gas on both engines. Since she's the first squad member to attack, there's no previous softening for her outside of Palob stealing. But Tac has its own set of merits, so it'll always be a hard choice to justify.

Yes, I agree that the action economy is there with the K4. The other consideration is that it still comes into play when you bump so you can execute a 3 maneuvre when you know/don't want to actually be able to clear it.

My other thought is that if you manage to double stress, with 3 slicers your expected damage is only 1.5 so there will be times when you only force 1 damage and they can clear the other stress with a green and still have an action. Double stress is only really beneficial when you manage to force that 2 damage through which is hit and miss (realistically you want 4 BMST for that or even 5 if you want it to be realiable-ish)
