tie/sf? where are they?

By Vineheart01, in X-Wing

That was one of my thoughts when i saw the fang release: really? they add in a bunch of aux arc stuff and they put in probably the best counter to aux arcs IN THE SAME WAVE!?

Nothing different for tailing a firespray (except scum kath) but tailing an arc or sf is way in his favor. Auto crit from the arc vs auto dodge....no fear.

Really only benefit the aux arc has vs fangs is potential side-stepping and still getting a shot. No aux arcs cant sidestep very well (i do it with wedge because of lightning reflexes, which is of course once)

you think that's bad? poor Norra has to deal with both Ol' Terry and Ventress ******* over her ability and the PTL she needs to run it :(

if you hit range 2 with that aux arc, though, the fang's pretty ******

Gencon, obviously. :P

well, 2-dice primaries really don't do much regardless of their target , so it's really no big deal :P

only "backdraft" would've mattered in that scenario

TIE Fighters Suck...

yup!

without crackshot*

then again, ficklegreendice and all that. That means mine are basically agility 0, and every opposing Tie is palpatined fel essentially

but for those not allergic to math (sorry, joe :( ) the two die primary is just notoriously unreliable against anything and the difference of a measly die (or die result) is astronomical. Normally, the compensation is having more 2 dice attacks to try to force damage through (Esp with crackshot) but the SF doesn't get that luxury at 23 points base

I learned this well playing ARCs, for while Tailgunner does help immensely it also doesn't stop a single evade token from ruining your chances at more than 1 damage outside range 1. and if you don't roll perfectly (or if your opponent rolls even a single evade)...well you're ****** which is why I retired Thane for Braylen (no damage? have MORE STRESS  )

but if, of course, you end up running into a lot of 1 agility (Bs, Ys, ARCs etc.) or 0 agility (ghost and deci) then it will probably sometimes do something

That is why I play EPIC my Fickle- Brother... ten or so TIE's get some work done there.

;)

Is the SF the most costly 2 die attack ship?

Well...it's not really 2 die attack unless you are firing both arcs at once.
