A very odd tournament

My friend is hosting a charity tournament on Saturday and it causing a block in my brain of what to take.

The rules are simple: 100pts but each ship can only have one upgrade card attached to it.

I'm trying to avoid the black crack swarm as that's probably what the others will do. That has left me with a creative block on what to take, so any ideas on ships that don't need a lot cards to work?

I have at least one of everything apart from the corvette and the gazanti. I prefer to fly rebel but I'm not unmovable from that.

Thats mean. I don't have wampa unfortunately.

I meant to write more, but was running out the door to lunch. You COULD swap something else in for Wampa & his Stealth Device, he just has the perfect synergy with Palp. Any Deci with Palp is going to be a bit cruel.

Alternatively, consider what people WON'T have in their lists -- there at a lot of fun ships that REALLY benefit from Autothrusters... But that's not, in my opinion, the first and only upgrade I'd use -- turreted ships, especially TLTs, could be a REAL pain in this tournament. But any PWT ship stands ahead of the crowd in this format, imo.

This sounds like something I'd like to try sometime, too.

Taking it a step further, what about something like "You must have an equal number of Upgrades and Pilots in your list"?

Yer I have a very strong suspicion that that is what's gunna happen. I'm hope to play left of field for this and everyone has delivered spades. So many ideas from you awesome people.

Without any super aces on board, you can mostly scratch autothrusters off the list (unless that's their only mod), which makes TLTs pretty solid again. If you like, you can replace one of those Ys with a TLT Torkil Mux, which will draw a fair amount of agro but won't be as sturdy. N'Dru can run up the side to get more value than his 19pt cost after he's gotten into a flanking position.

I can't believe nobody has suggested Miranda yet. Like I said, TLTs get better in this format, and she's for sure the best Rebel regen pilot if we're talking about 1 upgrade only.

Just throw Biggs in there next to her so she can't take the alpha strike, then watch her never die. Meanwhile, there are enough points left over to push your Y-Wing and Z-95 up to PS4, so they can shoot simultaneous with Crack Swarms.

Interesting tourney, but crack swarms are gonna be #1.

2x Gold Ywings + Autoblaster = 40pts

Roark + Autoblaster = 21pts

Chopper + Autoblaster = 39pts

Sounds interesting, but like others have said crack swarm will be tough to beat. Without a lot of thought, my first attempt would be
