To commemorate my beloved battle from ww2 pacific theatre (battle at tassafaronga) I create some crazy Raider List. List consist of

3*Raider with APT

2*Raider with CM

1*Raider with Screed

1*Gladiator with Demo title, Engine Techs and CM

I Played it once so far. Lost one Raider, and should Lost a Gladiator but my coleague have a lots of bad luck and roll lots of blanks on Black Dices. I killed all his squadrons and his gladiator.

Any one have idea what mission I have to choose to this list? I think of Precision strike, Hyperspace assault and dangerous teritory. What do you think?

Opening salvo could be fun for red missions and Most wanted is a great option as the Demolisher can hunt down the biggest target you think you can kill and get double points while one of your raiders is you objective and either stays out of the fight or goes on a high speed flaking move around the back of the enemy fleet.

Your yellow and blue choices are spot on.

Your points look to be bang on 400 so I think I would drop a raider for a Gozanti with suppressor title and maybe slicer tools to get some initiative bid. This fleet likes going first.

Thanks for advice Mad Cat. Hole this flet will work. I want to use it on our Nationals. Usually i played whole season with 3 Vics with Screed nad full squadron allowance.

Have to switch my mind from staying in one place and fighting sauadrons to mad, well timed charge with whole fleet.

Droping Raider will cost me a lots of firepower (crit effects on them do a lot). Gonzanti is a not bad idea. But what kind of raider I have to drop. One with CM or one with APT.

The one with Screed!

I usually try to keep my Admiral out of danger (it is why i put him on his own raider). Will try variant with him on armed one nad change his own with gonzanti

Just read few topics on forum an I realise that this list belong to hated by all lists. To be honest I do it by accident. I just end reading great book about WWII on Pacific. My most favored unit was destroyer fleet under Raizo Tanaka.

Gladiator is Tanaka flagship CL "Jintsu" (as Imperial side dont posses any one class above Raider), rest of my fleet consist of DDs will have other names from IJN such like Naganami, Takanami, Kurashoyo, Orasyo, Fubuki etc.

at 28.08.2016 I will run this list (without gonzanti). Probably will be last sine those Akbar MC 80 lis are very popular as I mperials with 3 Vics nad rhymerball. We Aldo have Akbar that run 7 rebel corvets with TRC each.

Hawkstrike hope he servive battle. (To be honest war is discusting and oj my moron want to kill other human). I glue this list together to commemorate those night battle. I admire Tanaka as commander, nothing more.

Today i wasnt lucky as Tanaka. First battle i Player against my friend Maciek. He have packed Imperial, Gladiator, 3*Raider I Was second as he outbid me. We played dangerous Teritory. Maciek puf bis Imperial on my right wing and test in line between nim and Last Gladiator.

In First round we Both gather objectives that granted 45p for Both od us. Then i send clean Raider to meet bis destiny with Gladiator (na have Job to atract gladiator and but Time for the rest of my fleet to make Good position to strike. My gladiator składa attack on ten rear od imperial. It put presure I want that squeez him between my rider line (2 with APT and one with CM) and his riders. He Was sure that he will cope with this small amount of dice attacs. He forget about those nasty crit effects.

In next Sound i wash out his 2 Raiders and damage Gladiator. in meantime I lost 2 raiders. To the rest of the game I was decelerating an turning trying to catch remnants of his fleet. 7-4

Second game I Run against Wawrzyniec. He is Veteran Player. He have Imperial II, Victory and Gladiator, 2 firespray nad 2 agressors. We played Hyperspace Assault. I squeez my Raiders in formation one by one with screed Raider behind them. On turn 2 i moved in such manner to have his jump points in front od me. In turn 3 i Rushed with all raiders to firma on round 4. Those knife fight Was bloody. I lost 2 raiders nad gladiator. My opponent lost gladiator, Victory and Gressor. One firespray Was left on 1hp. Game ended 5-6 in my favour (difference Was only about 19pts)

Third game I starter but have to give up and run back Home to my Little Son, he feel sick (he have high temperature). I hope we will Play again. Together we deployed 14 ships on board.

He did have a lot to say about the failures in intelligence that left them unready for the night engagement despite their advantage in radar and the range of the Long Lance torpedoes caught them very much by surprise.

Anyway, sounds like a really fun list to run, though probably one that needs much practice as a Raider in the wrong place at the wrong time can go down quickly. I prefer Rebels myself but after reading this I would be tempted to run the equivalent with MC30s or CR90s but I don't own enough of either one to make up a full destroyer screen.

My last game was against 7CR90 list with Ackbar. All where equiped in TRC. I need to practice more play with Gladiator than Raider. I made main mistakes with him. Few minor mistakes where on Raiders

Yes, an excellent example of superior tactics and leadership besting a larger, stronger (and theoretically better equipped -- the Americans had better radar and the larger ships, but the Japanese had the advantage in torpedoes) foe. It does make a good study for Armada.

That give me 383 pts. If FFG will put some FAQ about FCT then 4 of them will change to Raider I with APT and FCT

My biggest concer in this list is choice of objectives. Precision strike is tempting but only if APT are present. Superior positon is nice in theory but I'm not sure if I will be able to move precisely with this crowd onproper positions. Last one is fleet ambush (enemy will be erlier in black dice range)

Any advices about missions?

With all those raiders I'd consider Dangerous Territory - you have the maneuverability to snag those easily and being able to ignore obstacles could come in handy.

Perhaps Most Wanted could work - you pick their largest ship and just go to town on it.

I miss 1 raider, and I'm short on money so will play on Nationals with this list

My last two games where against possible Nationals winner. Both times we played fleet ambush and he squish my raiders well. His Imperial in Berserker version is impossible to stop with sidemate interdictor protecting him from any harm.

We played this scenario because he have minefield and contested outpost. They where too terrible for my Rider fleet

Why is minefields so bad? You can go speed 4 and are highly maneuverable.....

But interdictor will move mines before turn starts
