ROGUE ONE TRAILER TOMORROW!

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

The imperial shuttle with 4 wings seems to be a cargo conveyance. I could be wrong if course, but it looks like it has a similar cargo "pod" to the AT-ACT.

It will probably be on screen for all of 10 seconds before it is blown to pieces, I would say that makes it a cert for wave 11!

Just watched the trailer again, massive smile on my face, can't wait for December

Wait wait hold up: Emma Watson isn't hermonie anymore???!!

This looks like it will be a great Star Wars film, so we're all good then.

Seriously, I really don't get the GIRLS EWW thing. THere are precisely two female characters shown in all the trailers, and one of them is Mon Mothma, i.e. basically an NPC quest-giver.

The rest of the film looks to be a total sausage fest, except Jan Ors. Sorry, Jyn Erso. I'm not seeing how this is girls corrupting Star Wars? It has about the same gender balance as the OT - i.e. largely men.

You're seeing an agenda where there is none.

Things are shifting from male leads to female leads.
I doubt that anyone has a problem with that, the problem comes when there are
hints and suggestions that they are copies of existing male lead characters.
If they are going to make female lead characters they could make them original,
otherwise these hints and suggestions are taken for girlification of our male lead characters.
Please stop being so thick about this so you can look like knights in shining armor,
you've had it spelled out to you now, it's nothing against female actors or female lead characters,
it's the copy aspect of it that's bothersome, and it suggest weak writing also. I get it and empathize.
Sabine is a good example, she is popular because she is (mostly) original.
Now watch some buffoon take my statements out of context just like JBRS 's have been.
He only started talking about the copies, the bad writing.
Then when forced to defend himself he actually found evidence of what you accused him of saying.
Finally I'm reading people back peddle to "agenda's are bad."
Then there's the one dummy who doesn't have a clue about demographics
and takes things out of context so he can look like a knight in shining armor.
Your armor is sh*t man, demographics are real. If you take a survey you'll find the MAJORITY
of males prefer action movies and the MAJORITY of females prefer non-violence and romance.
I've read the word idiot thrown around, but that word applies to the one who tries to make the exception into the rule.
...Can we get back to the trailer and Rogue One now before the thread gets locked.

You can tell a character is derivative from 40 seconds of screentime in trailers?

LOL the Star Wars fandom.

Yes, we noticed it and we commented on it, and the repetition of your ignorance is getting tired and old here, and now you can go pretend that you are blind somewhere else.

That's not what I said, self-described-baffoon, try reading the whole thread before you take someone blatantly out of context. Have a look at the image posted of Felicity Jones holding her action figure and try captioning it with the paraphrase "I'm the Han Solo of my movie."

You mean she's a character with a criminal history who helps the good guys?

Yes, we knew that already.

She is probably not going to have Han Solo's exact characterization, in the same way Anakin Skywalker in the prequels did not have Luke Skywalker's exact characterization. Railing on a character for being too derivative when you haven't even seen the actual movie is hilarious.

As if there would be any original male leads either. Star Wars is a hero's journey story with tons of archetypes. Originality lies within the individual characters, not their archetypes.

I wanted to bring something up about the force. So, unless I am wrong, in the OT the force was spoken of as an impersonal form of energy that binds everything together.

But now we see in this trailer (and I think in Rebels as well) that "all is as the force wills it." Anything with a WILL is not some kind of impersonal energy that it would seem that anyone can tap into. In the prequels we learned of midichlorians which gave some people a genetic advantage in the ways of the force, but the force itself still remained impersonal.

But now the force has a will, it would seem. Actually, come to think of it Qui-Gon mentioned the will of the force. That would imply some kind of s entience, like some kind of deity. I, personally, hope it doesn't go further down that route.

Perhaps "the will of the force" is not a conscience thought by a conscience being, but perhaps a natural movement or direction that energy is going - such as a storm that is moving.

Good observation.

But keep in mind Donnie Yen's character is most likely a religious worshipper of the Force. He's not a Jedi, and his perspective could be different because of his faith.

Not railing anything, simply clarify what I've read, and that I get the perception instead of attacking it.

Hoping it isn't bad is not the same as judging it, so STOP taking us out of context.

I'll just continue to call you out as a deceptive lier every time you twist our words like some troll.

Or people start mystifying something they simply don't understand

-And then we invented satan teh DARK SIDE of the force, because standing for one's sins is impractical.

Sooo, more likely superstision, because people who knew anything of the force are dead for like a decade already

When I make my cute little Boss Emote of Jyn all I am going to do is take my Han Emote and put hair and gurl shape on him and color his white shirt dark gray... it will be a masterpiece of Moties... doubt it not true believers!

I do like that she has that bot instead of a wookie, both are tall and imposing... very fun.
