Under what (if any) circumstances does Let My Porridge Fly cause Venomous Blade to be discarded before it goes into Shadows?

Intrigue Gambit: After you win an <intrigue> challenge, choose and discard an attachment from play.

Venomous Blade
Response: After you lose a challenge, Venomous Blade goes into Shadows.

Does the first player get to decide which effect resolves first, or does one effect precede the other? Could not figure it out from the flowchart.

Let my Porridge Fly is a passive effect (step 4 of the Framework Action Window) and thus resolves before the response-effect of Venomous Blade (step 5).

Note that, since Let my Porridge Fly is a passive effect, you have to discard an attachment, even if the only one in play is one of your own.

So since the plot is a passive effect (as are all plots) it indeed does go before Venomous Blade would have a chance to trigger as the previous poster stated.

Intrigue Gambit, whether there was a colon or not, is in bold and italics, signifying it as a trait. Response is only in bold, indicating that it is a timing restriction on a triggered ability. A colon instead of a period would not turn "Intrigue Gambit" into a timing restriction or the plot effect into a triggered effect.
