Jumping out of hyperspace into a maelstrom of exciting news and possibly a monster truck space rally, the long-missing DT, Skyshuffler, Lord of Tubs, and EZ Chance come forth once again aboard the glistening Flesh Star Destroyer. The topics covered at the conference room table exclude being force choked but include a bit of Wave 3/4, the new campaign release, and of course the freshly-announced Wave 5. Put your aviator glasses on in a dramatic fashion and rakishly tip your fedora - it's Episode XXIII of Intensify Forward Firepower.

I'll give this a go tonight :)

Haven't listened to you guys in a long time.

Guildball is awesome! LOL - honestly, I use tourneys of GB to practice mental toughness for Armada.

I play Masons/Alchemists!

I won't win the contest but I will try!

I definitely agree on the drain...the only difference is instead of another game to absorb the time, I started working overtime!

Wait a minute... :o;)

Halle-f'n-lujah!!! Space pope be praised!!!

i'm in agreement about the Interdictor, it's like the bomber in X-wing. It's too costly to make it do what it is supposed to do, you should get a discount because you need to add stuff.

Eeexcellent, most excellent. I've been waiting for you lot to get back into it. A hiatus due to guildball? Beh, no comment.

Anyway, yeah, lot to catch up on. Stil running that prediction thread for points and yeah, seems most of the guesses were right where the majority of people (thus far) are going for Wave V. Lots to be interested in, lots to be excited about. I'm generally with you on the wave 3-5 stuff, I think you skipped over the Reb's named characters for Corellian Conflict aside from Rogue Squadron. Hmm, I'm unsure about the Interdictor myself, I love the idea but it's pricey and feels fiddly in theory. Does the ability to potentially 'obtain' additional VP or deny it from an opponent, by ways of objective/obstacle manipulation, justify its cost? I'm not seeing its worth in points from a combat perspective, but if that's an additional 15 point VP token off the bat... I don't know, maybe. I'll have to start thinking about it as a facet of playing the objective game rather than the shooty game. While most things get their points via enemy destruction, hoping to gain back at least 1:1 ratio of points spent to points destroyed/denied, this one is about controlling the ~50-100 garnered from non-combat means.

As for the Fleet Command upgrades, according to the article:

"You can only equip one of these upgrades to your Phoenix Home, and all three of the Fleet Command upgrades that come in this pack are unique. Nonetheless, for a handful of fleet points, each of them allows you to spend command tokens to power advantages across every ship or squadron in your fleet!" (emphasis mine)

I do agree with the sentiment that the Phoenix Home doesn't look cartoony which is a huge aesthetic plus, and that paint scheme and general aesthetic just feels right at home with everything else we have. I'm excited to get one all painted up, but that's not exactly news.

Aside from that, the only thing I can think to add is about the DP-20: yeah, one is there in the card art along with the Assault Frigate Mk.I on Adar Tallon. Oh, and the H6 ended up being something of a surprise for me at regionals. While I like the H6, we have Fighter Coordination Teams on the horizon. That means that a limited number of B-wings can act in a similar role, but they'll be slightly faster, cheaper, have better firepower, and scrap heavy, at the cost of a few HP. They're pretty good now, but Grit only came into play once. It's rare enough that I forgot to use it the other time, which admittedly may have been enough to make the difference and destroy the last Guppy in an Ackbar fleet. Still wouldn't have mattered, got second place in the end as no one was going to be catching a 27 point Rhymer-firespray Demo list (that was handled exceptionally well be ol' Skycake up there! Again, well done mate!). But hey, my little Dodonna Y-wing/Luke/H6 commanded by an RAF Mk. II no TRC-90 list came second. Aaah regional data: to buck or not to buck, that is the question. The Gencon list, Norm Weir's list doesn't qualify as a rhymer ball, right? Wasn't there a bet a few months ago between our illustrious Moff and the Lord of Tubs?

I swear I had another bit to say: maybe something about flaying the flesh star destroyer, Bolton style, if we get another 3 wave long hiatus:P (looks like someone caught up on GoT).

Oh, yeah, that contest... that could be glorious. Le Libertè doesn't have engine baffles like most, oh no, it needs the full bustle to pull that one off.

I won't win the contest but I will try!

And if you do, you may get wave 5 before you get the prize.

From the last time it took Easy to send me that damage deck holder (that I cherish and use all the time btw) Wave 6 might be out. . .

Candidates for the face down rebel officers:

As mentioned, Ahsoka

Captain Rex

Dark horse candidate..... Bail Organa.

All of those would be awesome!

It's chopper.

Chopper: Exhaust this card to double the dice in your dice pool for one attack. Then, your opponent controls your ship during the "determine course" stage.

The MC-80 M'lady! Does this count as a submission?
