HERO's BigFish vs Lyraeus's Dodonna the Oppressor

By Lyraeus, in Star Wars: Armada

Does Twitch automatically record streams or is someone going to have to do that? 9PST is 12EST, so that's a bit late on this side of the country.

It can do

I strongly dislike Vassal and I don't have the slightest idea what Twitch is, so I hope someone is kind enough to post a batrep afterwards.

Get him, Lyraeus! Gracious Emperor, I can't believe I just said that...encouraging rebel scum, what would be next....

If only table top simulator was free for everyone it would be pretty cool to spectate this game on there.

Maybe they will do a rematch? Some grudges can't be solved by one match.

Does anyone have a video of how Armada looks on TTS?

Go Lyraeus! Dodonna FTW!

Both fleets look well honed, going to be interesting to see the outcome.

Would be better as a best of 3, as 1 off results, especially if close can literally be the difference on the throw of a dice. So I am hoping to see a comprehensive victory.

Good luck to you both, and may the best Rebel scum win. :)

Look at it this way, no matter who wins, Rebels die.

Unless, of course, they are only doing field manoeuvres.

Less than 12 hours away for this game! Discuss!

Difficult to call; I have played both Hero and Lyraeus and consider them amongst the best players around. On top of that they are both playing fleets that they created, suit their playstyles and that they've fine tuned.

I'll have to go for Hero, but he has only a very a small margin for error or Lyraeus is more than capable of swallowing his fleet whole.

My reasons are:

Hero got lucky when is extremely high bid beat Lyreaus' very high bid

Lyreaus is running slightly less Intel than he would probably prefer, and skimped on a few items like jainas light for the sake of the unsuccessful bid.

Good luck to both players!

Nothing left to it but to do it.

Regardless, this will be interesting.

I personally would not consider this match valid unless done face to face across the table. Personal preference, I loathe vassal.

I wouldn't exactly say that. What I would say:

IRL > Vassal > chest-thumping and "what-if"ing on the Internet

I liked this, but I wanted to love it.

Very nice, I like your formula. Admiral Deralisk approves.

Ooooh, tough choice to pick who I want to see win. Lyraeus's fleet has a huge activation advantage and nasty ways to get severe critical effects. But I also love seeing big capital ships like the MC-80 used to devastating effect. A very tough choice to pick between the two.

In the end, I think I'll vote for Lyraeus. He's got a cool dragon-monster thing as his avatar picture. Which is pretty cool.

I think it's less than luck. He had my list and as shown in BiggsIRL's pre-game, he dropped 2 YT2400's to A-Wings.

Regardless, this will be interesting.

If he actually dropped 2 YTs for As to underbid your specific list (which was already posted), that's pretty disingenuous IMO.

It was something I had considered when I posted my list first.

I stress actually though. I'm not sure that was the conclusion I drew from Biggs' article.

It comes down to logical reason. He could not drop 1 because he would have been at 387 so 2 had to be dropped.

Why would he drop one in the first place? It is an interesting line of thought but ultimately inconsequential.

He said it followed a chat with GK. I have had similar discussions with GK recently.

Yeah I was also under the impression that was an organic change to the list following a brainstorming session with Greenie.

How can I watch this and when is it?
