Trying Imperial Spies, am I on the right track?

Just looking for feed back on this list highlighting the ISB and the spy unit type.

The command deck has every spy card (except for behind enemy lines, I don't like its stipulations), as well as a few leader cards and some staples like negation and take initiative. It's 39 points on the deployment cards side so I have a bid toward picking. This is where I've ended up after 3 games with the spies. It began with more isb groups but I find that it's difficult to beat good old elite stormtroopers in my lists at least. Controlling the command cards has been a massive advantage. As far as the other units go, Blaise has felt like a steal everytime and the officers are good at their job. Anyone else playing with spies? What kind of lists have given you problems? Do you think elite ISB are worth it over regular?

Personally I'd run 3 groups of speed as the last group is giving you little benefit. Also as you're running troopers it'd be a shame to miss out on reinforcements and grenadier.

I think a lot of the older spy cards just aren't worth their points, i generally just run intelligence leak, com disruption, sometimes stall for time. You should be able to fit all the good trooper cards in too with that.

Personally I run this as my spy list :

Agent blaise

2 eISB

2 eStormtroopers

I really like the eISB you can do some really cool stuff but I'd always run the elites for the extra pierce on those surges, you generally need it to push some damage through and get your hidden off in my experience.

I've seen people run it with no ISB as well though and hit the 3 speed by adding cross training to the stormtroopers. 3 is good for com disruption to stop grenadier of soon of Skywalker etc. However 2 is also decent if 3's a stretch then your looking to cancel things like reinforcements or a big parting blow, maybe the inquisitor card. (Think that's 2)

I have 2 or 3 videos with that list on my YouTube channel if you're interested

I think this is really the core

Agent Blaise 6
Elite Storm Troopers 9
-Cross Training 1
Elite Storm Troopers 9
-Cross Training 1

The rest is personal taste. Some prefer a few upgrades, some like Elite Heavies, some take ISBs. Even an Inquisitor fits in there.

As for command cards, I only take Comm Disruption and Intelligence Leak. Sometimes Data Theft and Strategic Shift is OK too.
Collect Intel is pretty useless if you're using Blaise as he can do the same thing for free every time he shoots.
Don't forget you're still going to want the good trooper cards anyway so that's 4-8 points in the command deck already. throw in Negation and a few spy cards and you're already full.
You don't need all the spy cards.
