Command Card - Primary Target

By aermet69, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

"Use when you declare an attack targeting a hostile figure with the highest figure cost of all hostile figures on the map. You become Focused and apply +1 [Damage] to the attack results."

Is the requirement exclusive? Was playing yesterday and opponent had 2x Repulser Tanks at 10 (none higher). Can I use this on the Repulser Tank while both are alive? Or do I have to wait until one is dead and then use it on the other?

You will probably need to ask FFG.

If I needed to decide, taking into account the Primary Target name, I would think it does not apply if there is another figure with the same figure cost. But the reverse would be equally probable.

(Edit: The wording could be "if there are no hostile figures with a higher figure cost on the map." to be less ambiguous.)

Question sent.

My bet is, that you can use this on a Repulser Tank while both are alive.

I'd interpret this the same as DerBaer, but that's working on best guess of what they intended, literal interpretation seems to indicate you couldn't use it unless it was the only one of that value

If you have 2 tanks, they are both 10 cost. 10 is the highest cost on the map. When you declare an attack against it, you can play Primary Target because it is the highest figure cost on the map of all hostile figures.

DTDanix has the logic spot on.

The card never says the target figure has to be the only figure with that cost.

Just that it's the highest on the board.

That was our thought as well, but it seems slightly ambigious in the wording.

Rules Question:

Primary Target - Command Card, Imperial Assault Skirmish: "Use when you declare an attack targeting a hostile figure with the highest figure cost of all hostile figures on the map. Hi Casper,
If there are multiple figures that meet the figure cost requirement, you may choose one of them. You do not need to wait until only 1 figure meets the requirement.
Thanks!
