Is he even playable anymore?

Hopefully not. Screw that regen NPE garbage.

Thank god Rebels are no longer competitive, game is much better without fat turrets and regen. Rebels even have a turret ship that regenerates, can you believe that? For when you're so bad at the game that even your training wheels have training wheels.

:)

Are you not thinking of putting gonk on manaroo? :P

Considering that I'm flying Dengaroo to be an *******, yes. You can also be more of an ******* if you constantly point out that what you're flying takes no skill and that there is nothing they can do.

Until the day regen is nerfed, I feel no pity for corran.

I look forward to killing him with slicers soon.

I got a friend to play my APT Dengaroo variant. He one shot a Corran.

So you're intentionally trying to cause your opponents to not have fun. You must be a blast to play against. And you complain about NPEs.

In truth he is fun to play against. You lose a lot in communicating over the internet. I'd say more but why tarnish PGS's (insert adjective) reputation?

I knew he was a softy at heart.

ssh, Croaker!

you're going to ruin his street cred :(

i dunno why i didn't have it that way before, but PGS is def. on my ignore list now.

I just can't understand why someone could hate this game so much, and yet continue to play it.

y'see, when i stop enjoying something, i stop doing it.

And since Rebels, Regen, and Turrets have existed since the very beginning of the game, it's absolutely a core part of it.

You can't have X-Wing without any of those things.

ironically, playing a game with PGS is the biggest NPE of all time.

Go ahead, ignore me. Let me spread my poison unopposed. :)

I'm enjoying this game even more now that there are no more rebel players. It's fantasic currently, if Palp Aces was stopped too we'd have the perfect meta.

I only hate rebels because until recently, the only viable things they had were fat turrets and regen and those were awful for the game. Regen on a T-65 or Y-Wing is just fine. Turrets on a Y-Wing are just fine. Even the Falcon is arguably tolerable without C-3PO. Obviously I'm not talking about those.

Yes, you can have X-Wing without mechanics that cater to the Candyland demographic.

You're actually right about that last one, recently I've started flying Dengaroo just to frustrate opponents and have fun at their expense. It's great fun.

Dengaroo is the dumbest list currently. Its killing X-Wing.

eh....................

maybe it's killing x-wings (sure does a number on poor Biggs :P ) but compared to torp scouts it's about as intimidating as a hairless chihuahua

got to test it v ARCs yesterday, and goddamn the ARCs just plowed straight on through Dengar.

then again, I don't fly ships that would be intimidated by Zuckuss. I don't like relying on those silly fickle dice anyway, because they don't need zuckuss to completely blank out in your face

I dunno my stressed out Han build with mr. Horn has done me very well and has been my strongest squad I've used.

The problem I find with these older ships is when the meta updates it doesn't cause older ships to disappear and become irrelevant. No, if you like something, keep flying it. The meta just dictates you need to find new ways to fly or build. Same when a new FAQ comes out.

For me, Corran has never been stronger!

How did you Build out your ARCs?

raw damage with Dengaroo specifically in mind

first, the autoinclude

Biggs (r4-d6, integrated) [26]

don't fly ARCs without him. Slow and 1 agi is no bueno; he forces Dengar to split fire and is part of what allows you to roll right through him

the reason why they rolled through Dengar is Tailgunner (-1 agility when firing out the aux arc). Infina focus and re-rolls is far less impressive with only 1 die :P

that and we got the two highest damage ARCs

Norra (PTL, Vectored Thrusters, r2-d2, Tailgunner)

Thane (Plasmas, G-chips, r7-t1; Tailgunner)

Norra is a little annoying because that countermeasure's turn shuts off her ability, but Thane doesn't give a crap. Focus and use his ability to take a combat phase TL, allowing plasma torpedoes anyway!

Very cool. I will have to try that out. Thanks Man!

* Also, How well did R7-T1 work and how did you use it in this build? ... Sorry about getting off of the Corran Topic ^_^ ^_^

Edited by CBS Ink

Norra is the new corran :P

She stole his r2d2, anyway. It's really great once you start abusing the aux arc to get into weird positions while still getting to attack

R7-t1, though...eh? Didnt have many chances to use it because 3/4 games everyone went for norra due to her late game power, so Thane didn't want to boost and create range bonuses because he had to provide covering fire with his auxiliary arc.

Used it once v Dengaroo in order to one bank onto his face and then boost in between his base and a nearby rock (+ lock to use with alliance overhaul rear arc mods). Basically it allowed a diagonal move without changing the arc facing, so it helped there because I don't think I would've cleared the large base with a 3-foward

Needs more testing

Very Interesting. I like it

Since we're still stuck here , I guess I could add this

So no one's really tried it yet, but it seems you'd be at an advantage if you slammed Dengaroo into an intentional block. You lose nothing (yay manny ) but your opponent loses a shot

This makes Thane extra cool if he has VTs or R7-t1. Send him out to intercept the intentional block and then use his ability (because dengar is still in arc, unless he somehow bumps your side and b2b is still range 1) to just peel yourself off of him. Tada!

This is much harder to do with r7-t1 but you can bank-boost out of base to base if youre stuck on the corner of dengars base or if you bump at an angle

Wow, Great Strategy! Look out Dengaroo!

After thinking about this more, Thane could take the R2-D6 Astromech so he could get PTL.

Nasty Combo to move into a Blocking position, Push the Limit to Focus/TL. Then when Denar shoots at your buddy, you then Barrel Roll off of Dengar to have a Focus/TL shot at range 1.

BOOM!

You could even PTL off of your Pilot Ability if you didn't do it during your first action. It would be nice to adjust your arc AFTER the Higher Pilot Skilled Ships move.

Neato.

you could PTL thane easily

but running with PTL Norra already, I'm personally happy with an ARC that can perform white 2-turns, 3-fowards and 3-banks :P

adds some variety

v Dengaroo specifically, though, I don't think PTL is necessary. His double tap gives you two actions as is, which will give you focus (normal action), b-roll (his actual attack) and TL (Dengar shot) unless he saves it for thane, which is not the smartest use of it

Corran is fine when handcuffed to Biggs. Put him on a two ship list and its likely not going to turn out well.

I feel he's fine, just hurt by the current meta unless you have the other ships protecting him. If Uboats go down in usage, expect more Corran.

If you're worried about Black Market Slicer Tools, just use Veteran Instincts instead of Push the Limit; it's still very good and is probably better versus Imperial Aces.

No idea how Kylo Ren will affect him.

I love Corran. He needs Biggs. The third ship is up to your choice. VI Wes is very strong. I like Draw their fire on Corran to keep Biggs alive, and Wes really can reduce the damage on Biggs surprisingly (swatting omega leader or inqusitors TL.

The biggest change right now that helps 42 point Corran (FCS R2D2, and DTF or VI), is the change to points actually makes him much better. Getting to the endgame vs Sontir now is a full win if you go to time, which is likely. Kill not-Sontir and the shuttle, have Corran alive, go to time and win.

Why would you PTL Thane? It's not like he needs more actions, especially when he has such a limited action bar already.
