Love Boat

Hmmm...just occurred to me....

I'd been looking at just established worlds. But, I wonder how feasible it would be for the cruise line or a related tourist-oriented company to tailor a sector specifically for cruises and tourism.

Sure, they could go on a cruise that would take them to Westworld, Dinoworld, Bronzeworld, Medieval World, Roman World, and so many more! ;)

Don't forget Middle Zealand. ;)

A sector of planets that, for all intents and purposes hit the normal cruise style destinations like the ones you mentioned, Alaska, and so forth. Different ships of the cruise line go on different routes.

I would have the cruise go along the Corellian Run in the Core Worlds. It starts on Coruscant and moves outward:

Follow these planets in order, they all appeal to vacationers...

Coruscant: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Coruscant/Legends (Starting point, galactic capitol)

Ixtlar: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ixtlar (You can buy almost anything in their sprawling shops)

Kailor V: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kailor_V (Home to the Imperial Zoological Gardens)

Corellia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Corellia/Legends (Coronet City is an entertainment hotspot and Kor Vella is a big tourism spot)

Nubia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nubia/Legends (A luxury planet sprawling with every kind of entertainment you can think of)

I think with this being a major hyperspace route it makes for a very plausible itinerary.

Plus, it has the benefit of me not having to throw together the Stubing Sector. ;)

Front runner here.

Thanks!

Our last session was quite heavy, so I would like to do something light and fluffy.

So the players will be called aboard the "Star Princess" and will help a few couples find love.

Any help in creating a fun session would be gratefully appreciated.

You know that the Star Princess is an actual ship? http://www.princess.com/learn/ships/tp/

You can use the deck plans from that site and just change the exterior to make it look like a starship! Boom. Game map done.

At first, I was iffy about starting at Coruscant seeing your itinerary, but as I thought about it, it could work...the scientist is making a formal status report on her Important Top Secret Project, then being afforded a very rare vacation (with security detail, of course). And, the Stellar Princess is rechristened the Corellian Princess.

Plus, it has the benefit of me not having to throw together the Stubing Sector. ;)

They only made it as far as Kailor V before hatching their master plan to liberate the scientist. While she was receiving a private tour of the Zoological Gardens, they released (a bit earlier than planned...thanks, Threat :D ) some of the animals, with chaos ensuing. They almost did it, too...disguised her as a minor celebrity Tapani noble who was on board. But a shifty Zabrak they'd encountered on board killed her using the noble's lightfoil. They killed the assassin, who they concluded was after the noble. And, with her dying breath, the scientist mysteriously apologized to the group's young Zabrak Nightsister who recently escaped Imperial experimentation that has left her a bit mentally unstable, then told them, "Shadowsaber can't continue..."

Ooooh...mysterious. ;)

Forgot to mention...they didn't even give themselves/me an opportunity to cross paths with the wacky Love Boat crew plot line that had the Yeoman Purser ("Drall") short out all of the life boat control systems and his zany antics trying to get it fixed without the captain finding out.

Four to five ports of call is a good number.

If it were me, I would try to pick places similar to Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Cancun, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cozumel, Cuba, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Grand Turk, Grenada, Jamaica, Martinique, Nassau, Panama, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Trinidad and Tobago, Virgin Islands, or other tourist-friendly type locations, where gambling is easy, duty-free shopping is cheap, liquor is free (or nearly free), the best cigars in the world can be found, etc….

So ports will be made in Tobagobah....Ord Nassau....St. Maartouine?

Saw this and immediately thought of this thread ...
