The rules reference the "spending" of defense tokens as described on TRC but is this the same as exhausting tokens or not? Can't see this written in my casual read throughout of the rules.
Noob question re defense tokens
"Spend" is defined as:
A Readied Token becomes Exhausted
An Exhausted Token becomes Discarded.
It is exactly the same mechanic. You use it to activate TRCs, or to defend yourself... The "Spend" mechanic is just that.
This is separate to the "Discard" mechanic, which is:
A Readied Token become Discarded.
An Exhausted Token becomes Discarded.
Spending can result in Discarding, but it is important to realise that spending is not discarding, and vice-versa.
