Does this mean Wedge in a Tie?

By eagletsi111, in X-Wing

Well as we all know Wedge defected to the rebel from the empire. Now in season 3 of Rebels it shows him defecting and flying a Tie. Are we going to get Wedge in a Tie fighter, that would be sweet. Maybe one side imperial and one side rebel.

Could be cool!

Wouldn't quite say "as we all know". That's new as of Rebels. In Legends he never was a part of the Empire. That said, I doubt we will be getting Wedge in a TIE, as if they wanted to add him to a TIE, they probably would've thrown him in with Sabine's TIE. I can't imagine them throwing in a second TIE expansion for either side.

considering he's not in the Rebel Tie pack, we'll have to wait for

Rebel Imperial Aces

or

Stolen Gonzati

At first I was like, "Oh brother," but then I was like, "Hey, that's cool..." when you said double-sided Wedge pilot card.

He's been in the game all along

Might as well have Jabba the Hut in a Tiefighter as well. It's probably Disneys fault that the rebels get a Tie.

A PS 9 Wedge with his X-Wing ability, in a TIE Fighter, at 19 points. Yes. That would be amazing.

Not gonna lie...I think a PS 7(?) Academy Wedge in a tie would be awesome.

Really. I was always under the impression that Wedge was a Defector, Very interesting!

Juking Wedge in a TIE would be awesome.

Maybe a whole imperial traitor boxed set.

A TIE with the rebel phoenix on each panel, and a Lambda with a huge rebel

Phoenix on the dorsal wing/vane.

Can we please stop with the "X rebel pilot in X imperial ship???!" please? Like, now? Totally over it. And we haven't even got the Graffiti Tie yet.

When do we get a rebel shuttle? Or Imperial Han or Scum Han...

We have not seen the backsides of all the Sabin's TIE pilot cards ;-)

To my knowledge both Biggs and Wedge were defectors. As was Crix Madeen (I apologize for the possible butchered the spelling) he was the guy who was adressing the war council about the stolen shuttle in ROTJ.

I mixed hat up all the time too, because nearly all except members of rouge squadron are former imperial academy pilots, most of them even students from Soontir Fel, but Wedge is not, he is just the brother-in-law of Fel :D

And before someone is telling me anything about the odds, the opera part in space opera is stolen from the term soap opera. All those family and past connections are what makes the opera part.

Meh two attack versus two green still isn't great and against big ships it's gonna take forever to kill anything.

Wedge would have to have a different ability in the Tie, as he's supposed to live until he gets into the X-wing. His ability would be terrible in a Tie Fighter, though.

Didn't it take 40K 20-something years to get to game legal use of almost any units you wanted in your army?

40k is also ran by GW, a company that is the epitome of ignoring the fanbase.

Allies on its own is not a bad idea. The way they implemented it, was a bad idea beyond bad ideas. And of course ALL the fans (except the tau'dar waacs) complained about it. Did it get fixed? Nope. Tau'dar is done for and the unusual blood angels + necrons thing is over, other than that allies is basically an imperial only rule since everyone else hates everyone. Now its even more imbalanced, just not in the same way.

I know GW jumped the Carcharodon Astra (again) on that. I was mostly teasing. Allies would be fun in some campaign or mission settling. I'm not sure 100 pt. death match is one of them for me.

Again, that's only in new canon, in the previously established story in Legends, Biggs, Tycho, and Hobbie were defectors. But Wedge never flew for the empire.

Already happened, OP.
