Running Hera with Chewy crew. Cannot decide which is better with TLT. One is more tanky, the other more accurate on the TLT.
Suggestions?

Honestly, I don't think either as as good as FCS, even with the clarification that it triggers after the second TLT shot.
Can you help me understand why FCS is better? My thinking is with AC, I am guaranteed two stars for each TLT attack, so I can use the evade action with less penalty. With FCS, I get one re-roll, the next round, on only one of the two shots, effectively forcing a focus action to back up one of the two shots.
I am not necessarily disagreeing with you, but i do not understand.
Edited by balindamoodI played in a 200 point game Saturday where I had a swarm of ships and my buddy had a loaded Ghost / Phantom and 3 T70 X-Wings all loaded. He had RD on the Ghost and it only helped him on the first shot where my bomber hit it with all 4 dice on a missile launch (so ended up removing 3 shields total) then I hit him with a bunch of 2 attack dice rolls where the RD had no chance of kicking in. I also hit it with my Defenders but I rarely hit with all three dice in the same roll. I would think FCS would be better since it means you can use the TL every attack round without having to worry about reacquiring it during your next perform action step.

My thinking us that a significant number of your attacks will be with 4-dice primary shots, and thus Accuracy Corrector isn't doing as much for you. Additionally, between 2 TLT attacks, you probably have one that is naturally 2+ hits, so you can just use the FCS TL on the other one and combo it with a Focus if that's advantageous. It's mostly for the first reason, though.

AC is better for the TLT, but FCS is better for the primary.
It kind of depends on which you're planning to use more on your Ghost. In my opinion, you take the Ghost to use its 4-dice primary and rear arc torpedo arc.
The turret should be more of a backup option (which is why I prefer Autoblaster over TLT). The Ghost is too expensive to be a dedicated TLT platform.
I have used TLT Ghost to great effect (you really want a cheap shuttle docked though to power that second shot). Anything other than Palp-Aces will get chewed by the TLT and even Palp Aces will struggle if you can bring the primaries to bear on them.
I would agree that FCS is the best upgrade for the Ghost as it will work well in pretty much all circumstances and its value is effectively doubled while the Phantom is docked. ACC is good but Palp Aces will ignore 2 hits. You need 3 to stand a chance of forcing damage through and ACC cannot do that.
So I am down to:
1) Hera w/FCS, Gunner, Navigator, Engine, TLT
or
2) Hera w/FCS, Chewy, Navigator, Engine, TLT
Cannot decide if I want Gunner or the extra 2 health ftom Chewy.
Ive flown Heragator quite a bit and I suggest not going with Navigator. Its beautiful when you are flying against low PS (wrecked uboats, btw) but then when you go up against triple PS8s, Palp Aces, etc Heras ability and Navigator are completely useless. Its like ur entire list got **** down the toilet. Drop Navigator for Intel agent. Thank me later.
Gunner is kinda pricey and may not trigger very often when firing your primaries. Admittedly with a TLT it is one way to burn through token stacks on tanky ships.
Now that the FAQ has rules the TLT's attacks to a single attack, does that mean Gunner can trigger 2 new TLT attacks if the first 2 fail to do any damage?
Han Solo is a pretty good with FCS as you can choose to treat the TL as a Focus instead which makes it more flexible. I must admit I have never run Hera as a pilot because I like her better in a crew slot. Red turns all day long! ![]()
I would definitely go with Gunner. 2 points of health for zero AGI isn't worth a whole lot. Gunner is great, especially with FCS against hard targets (i.e., the ones you care about). You're basically shooting like IG88B with an HLC, except instead of being worse at Range 1, you're better.
Any thoughts on R2-D2 over engine?

I am starting to lean towards FCS, Han Solo, and weapons engineer on Hera
