Where is the starfighter defense rule we find in Edge of the Empire page 267 ? It seems it disappeared from Age of Rebellion...

The rule telling us autoblasters, blaster cannons, laser cannons and quad laser cannons on capital ships count their silhouette as one less.

Is it intended or not? because I started with Age of Rebellion and a friend told me about this rule wich pretty change a lot of things !!

As you noticed, this rule was not carried forward to AoR or FaD. In its place, AoR gives us some dedicated Gunnery actions.

But that's strange... I suppose the rule still apply if you run any game, FaD, AoR ?

I think you are refering to the blanket barrage action? It's really not the same purpose, as this action is useless untill the fighters attack the capital ship. So what about a lonely fighter or small freighter silhouette 3 or 4 trying to force a blockade for exemple? If his intention is not to attack, there is no adequat action to use against him...

Again I think it's strange this rule was removed, all books are supposed to provide the same basic rules

I apply it when appropriate. As long as the players know that it's in play it's not that big a deal as most ships using that rule are also using weapons with the Close range and not much speed themselves. It's pretty easy to dance around that when you need to.
