Oh, I'm sure I'll buy some when it comes out, but I just hope they don't make it with the wings so wide.
What is this? 40k?
Quit it with the heresy!

I'm reserving judgement till I see it in action (in the movie and on a playmat) but I can't disagree on it's cool aesthetic.
I really prefer it with the wings in the 'closed' position. The swept back setting is for atmospheric flight and that's not X-Wing.
I'm going to be devastated if they announce this ship as part of a new X-Wing expansion.... but NOT as part of a ground-game or atmospheric rule-set.
C'mon Speeders, cloud cars, and walkers!
Actually, we have two moveable wing ships, the Upsilon is confirmed to "flap" as well.
You have an upsilon?! Stop keeping secrets man.

i will admit it looks cooler deployed but unless it moves i really hope its modeled closed.
Those wings are thin and long. We have enough bwing issues with the tiny guns poking out getting bent, those wings will be a nightmare to store properly.
All I can picture is them moving back and forth while it flies like a space row-boat.
Is it just me or do the new ship designers have a penchant for really long wings? Both this and the Upsilon would look infinitely better if they just had shorter wings.
Still looks bad even with the wings folded back.
But that's just my 2 cents.
That's is not a U-Wing. That's a Arwing.
Haha, yeah it does look pretty similar to the Arwing in Assault for sure.

They do! But I kinda like it!
so many sad souls who fail to see the beauty of the massive wing-span master race

(and biggs)

I love it! First new canon ship I'm really getting behind.
That's is not a U-Wing. That's a Arwing.
And the wings don't look as long in the movie still they released.

Certainly does look like one. And as a fan of both Star Fox and Star Wars i say....ME LIKEY.That's is not a U-Wing. That's a Arwing.
Make sure you checked your G-Diffuser systems! We're going into All Range Mode!
How do you think ffg will make the model? S-foils closed or opened?
Mel made both. I'm sure FFG's will be hinged; the Derpshuttle is.
It'd only can Arwing if it can
1) DO A BARREL ROLL
2) USE THE BOOST TO GET THROUGH
3) USE BOMBS WISELY
4) USE THE BRAKE!!!
which would only make it THE BEST SHIP ever made
Get on it, ffg

Either they should be moveable or they need to be closed. I just can't see having them in a fixed open position even if that is the way I think it looks the nicest.
It'll likely get release closed.
Just as well, this thing is on the cusp of large. Maybe not quite, but very **** close.
Maybe it will be the rebels version of the aggressor. A nice large 3/3/4/3 ship that can sloop.

That would be awesome, but somehow I doubt that will be its role.
I like this ship, quite a bit. I like the looks of it more than the Tie Striker, which is sad cause I 'm and Empire guy.
U-wing is looking pretty slick in that new trailer.

Looks like we see it a few times (even, I think, in the scene with the Star Destroyer over the city - in the distance??)
None of the shots have its wings 'open', though. We have it from an official source that they do pivot back, right?
