My Meager Beginnings in X Wing Painting

By UnarmedCrayon, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

Hello all, I've been into x wing for a little under a year now. I have never been the artistic sort, but I got the itch to make Poe's T-70 look as it should ( as many have) and found I really enjoy the detailed nature of repainting these little ships. I've seen many beautiful models in these forums, and felt the urge to show what I have done thus far. I'm in no way an expert, but any suggestions you all have on ways to improve are very welcome.

I have close up shots that I will post up once the probationary limits allow on my account. I don't post much, usually just lurk. ;)

Those look awesome! Especially if these are your first tries! My first ones definitely did not look that good :P I would maybe suggest some shading and/or drybrushing to give your models some more depth. I have made a website for beginning painters with lots of tips and tricks. There is still lots to come, maybe you'd like to check it out: http://xwingminiaturespainting.com/

Until then, happy painting and may the paint be with you :D

Thanks, and I have actually checked out your site. Good stuff on there.

I use photobucket. Upload your pics, then select a pic & copy the IMG info and paste into your post.

or in the thumbnail view, click the drop down menu in the upper left of your image and select "share". Then copy the IMG info and paste into your post. (Simply clicking the IMG box automatically copies the info for you.)

Very nice :) love it!

Looking good!
