I was messing around with a few Norra Wexley ARC-170 Builds and I came across this.

I'm not even sure if the Deadeye would work so I thought I would get everyones take on it.

When attacking or defending, you may spend a target lock you have on the enemy ship to add 1 EYE result to your roll.

- Deadeye - You may treat the "Attack [Target Lock]" header as "Attack [Focus]". When an attack instructs you to spend a target lock, you may spend a focus token instead.

- Proton Torpedoes - Attack [Target Lock]: Spend your target lock and discard this card to perform this attack. You may change one of your EYE results to a CRIT result. Attack value: 4. Range: 2-3.

- Recon Specialist - When you perform a focus action, assign 1 additional focus token to your ship.

- R5-P9 - At the end of the Combat phase, you may spend 1 of your focus tokens to recover 1 shield (up to your shield value).

- Alliance Overhaul - When attacking with a primary weapon from your primary firing arc, you may roll 1 additional attack die. When attacking from your auxiliary firing arc, you may change 1 of your EYE results to a CRIT result.

- Guidance Chips - Once per round, when attacking with a TORPEDO or ROCKET secondary weapon, you may change 1 die result to a HIT result (or a CRIT r esult if your primary weapon value is "3" or higher).

I tried to pick the best matches for Norra's Ability using Deadeye... if Deadeye would even work.

At what point does this build get you a target lock? I don't personally see any synergy at all with her ability unless I'm missing something.

This build is clearly built on focusing and there's nothing here that will allow you to spend a target lock you have on a defender.

I don't think Deadeye can be used for her ability it seems like it can only be used specifically to intimate attacks that normally require target locks.

As above there's 0 reason to do this on norra

There's also 0 reason to do this on Thane because TL out of his ability is already basically deadeye (can't countermeasure or black one it away because it occurs during combat; don't need to fiddle with low ps locks)

Yea, Thats basically what Im asking.

If you can use Deadeye to let you use Focus instead of Target Locks to initiate Norra's Ability

I just wanted to be clear because Deadeye specifically says, " When an attack instructs you to spend a target lock, you may spend a focus token instead."

Which is pretty much what Norra's Ability says to do.

It probably won't work, but I wanted to get everyones opinion.
