Is that the right scale? Is it good?
Yes Star Wars miniatures are the same scale as Imperial Assault ones. Some of their minis are good, like the early Rebel Storm ones, some are not, but the Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight isn't to bad. Not as good as IA model, but not terrible. The Jedi Master one is probably the best one, but then it looks more like this new one.
I had a look on Google, the quality looks way down on FFG.
Why can't Games Workshop make the minis for everything, while FFG make all the games themselves (rules, boards, cards, etc)? <sigh>

Because it would cost at least double if GW ran the minis and each mini would be unassembled in about 15 pieces.

I'd gladly pay double for GW quality minis for IA. I actually like glueing them together, it's the painting I don't like. Since I have to paint the IA models anyway, it's all good!
